Not sure that the Americans have added much that a regular casa amour with brits couldn’t have. It would be interesting if Whitney and Milli would like their partners as much if they had a British accent.

I will miss love island and this love island chat! Looking forward to tonights episode. My predictions are Tommy and Sean will make up, Scott will be a bit more romantic with Leanne and Lucinda will have a run in with someone 😆 oh and Jessy will cry.

If it wasn't so near the end I reckon Tommy would walk.

Found you all again! I think my personal favourite person in the villa this year has been Leanne. She has managed to remain so dignified and composed throughout and I think that is admirable. No pushover and perfectly able to communicate and make her feelings heard, but in a grown up way.

Sean and Lucinda are a constant source of amazement to me. I think they are functioning adults but I always feel like I am watching two children. Suspect they may actually win, which will be revolting to watch.

Millie and the American hair implant make me feel vaguely ill for some reason, although not entirely sure why as they are both quite likeable. I like Yamen and Witney and I'm glad she has calmed down. I think if I had to couple up with someone in there, it woudl be Yamen. I don't particularly warm to either Samie or Ciaran but they seem to rub along well. Belle and Harrison are fairly ludicrous together. Not buying them at all. I like Leanne but I'm less sure about Scott, so not sure what future they have. And doomed Tommy and Jessie - they just make me feel so sad. Tommy is a sweetie but I'm not exactly sure where his sexual chemistry is. There is some va va vroom missing there. I feel like Jessie broke in the chat with her Dad and hasn't been able to put herself back together again since. I feel like they need to leave before she unravels completely.

I'm up to about 5 episodes behind now.

The 'it's giving' nonsense these people on the show come out with is getting out of hand! 😆

I have heard 'it's giving I'm getting annoyed' and 'it's giving I don't get it' on the show I have just watched!

The 'it's giving' nonsense rarely makes sense anyway, but they've taken it to a new batshit level of nonsensical now. 😆

I hardly ever say this. But this series needed another week of normal villa goings on, before a week of this wrapping up/ family/ date stuff.

Also, why aren’t they allowed to cook proper meals in there? And why do they need Saturdays off? I know it’s for hair and nails but having so much off camera time is ridiculous.

Maybe thats why all the relationship come across as fake and awkward as they have so much time off.

I have read they now eat with mics on. Which we have seen a little bit more recently.
Ridiculous for them to seperate the boys and girls during proper meal times and remove mics.
Dumb. Glad they dont now.
They make their own breakfast as shown. Pretty dull viewing tbh.
Lunch and dinner is trays of stuff like chicken/ potatoes/ pastas/ salads

The breakfast is full viewing because it’s the same crap of arranging melon and strawberries into hearts 🤣

I think they should cook the odd evening meal on the show - a bbq, or a roast. They could do it is a group or vote a couple to cook for everyone. I bet we would get more real chat than we do now where they just sit on the lounges having their fake producer-ordered chats

Only just caught up, although I admit to watching it while also doing my ASDA online order 😂Not sure how much of it I took in. But I always find this last week SO dull. I am actually ready for it to end now.

I think this show is the most damaging thing on TV for relationships in truth.

Couples who rarely get time together, weeks now this show commands the TV where one half of the relationship goes to another room to watch it, leaving the other to do their own boring thing.

Also, some episodes where the contestants are half dressed and suggestive lap dancing on each other,.. I personally think someone watching that (in a relationship) is being disrespectful to their other half.

Overall, I’m sure a tsunami of supporting replies for Love Island will flood back but it’s disgusting some episodes and the biggest problem is isolating couples for months on end in evenings.

This is an idea - would bring out the realness in them

If a middle aged man watching with his wife/ partner is turned on by the girls and in turn wants his over weight partner to lose some weight and she does. Then thats insecure and toxic and odd.
Yes creepy of a older man esp 60 plus

But as far as couples watching, where one person watches and the other doesn’t.
Its 1 hour 20 mins max with a bit of discussion online after.

Also if I had a partner I would prefer to watch alone. Hardly isolating. Why should anyone watch something they dont like. Esp in this day and age.

I don't like watching with my partner as he tends to use it to judge our relationship and his perception of my apparent lack of affection. As if bored 20 somethings with no jobs living in a villa alone has anything like the dynamics of a marriage of 40 year olds working in stressful full time jobs with 2 young kids 🤕we were watching every night together until movie night where we had an epic fall out over something Belle said that apparently triggered him. Not seen it together since and I can't blame Belle as clearly there are bigger issues, that are a bit too deep for this thread! 😂 Apologies for derailing!
