I agree - she was an odd choice (and bloody irritating too!).

She kept doing an Exaggerated laugh. Very annoying.

I think the other dragons were a bit irritated by her - when she challenged Peter’s offer for the composting toilet Deborah was quite short with her.

Hopefully that means she won’t be back. I hate anything mlm related, I won’t buy from any company I know uses that model.

Every time I’ve been on a dog walk, I’ve been thinking of the golf ball cleaner and how useful a bigger one would be for do balls ( of the throwing variety, not the ones that are attached to them 🤣).

We got so angry with the smug brothers with their ludicrous cat flap last night. And Deborah, who.seemed to pick up on the main flaw, that it doesn't stop cats killing wildlife, just stops them depositing it on your head at 3 am, then made an offer. And she started out by asking why they were on? Easy, for free publicity. Twas shite.

Yes the idea that a cat flap could stop cats being cats is ridiculous and I don’t know why anyone would want that. Near £500 for a cat flap is ludicrous in its own right. Mind you I thought all the businesses being presented were pretty poor this week.

It isn’t designed to stop cats being cats though, I thought that was fairly clear. The point is to stop them bringing them into your house so you aren’t cleaning up bird remnants or chasing a mouse around the house at all hours. If your cat isn’t a hunter or you aren’t bothered about rodents in the house then obviously it isn’t for you, but it does what it says on the tin which is stop them at the door and people are obviously willing to pay for that peace of mind. If you look at any of their website or marketing it’s pretty clear what the point is.

In all fairness she's created a great brand and done well for herself.

Cats mainly hunt at night. I wasn’t aware people generally left their downstairs windows open at night? If you decide to leave your windows open then I guess you run the risk, but if it’s enough of a problem for someone to invest in technology to stop it they probably aren’t also leaving your windows open. A bit like if you care about keeping your cats as indoor cats, your windows stay closed or covered.

Exactly. If the brand is so great then sell it in the shops. MLm is designed to take advantage of people

I’d buy one of those cat doors if they were a bit cheaper. It’s horrible when they bring live things in and you have to chase round trying to catch them.

What I wondered about with the cat doors is - what happens if the cat comes back with any sort of facial injury after a fight? Will the door still "recognise" them and let them in?

I know this. The owners were asked whether the cat flap would deter cats from hunting and they said there was evidence (anecdote) that it reduced cats hunting.

I’ve heard someone on a fairly popular podcast discuss a similar product.

Deborah Meaden doesn’t like MLM. When two losers appeared on DD with their Kangen Water filters she was quick to call them out on it being a pyramid scheme. I expect the Tropic woman wasn’t a popular choice in the first place given her success is built on the exploitation of other women.

Very very few people make money on mlm schemes. They aim to exploit people, especially women with young children trying to make ends meet. They are a disgrace and should be banned.

@MyBadday exactly, it’s a cynical move to used the MLM business model - Susie Ma didn’t have to. It relies on exploiting people’s vulnerabilities such as need for flexible work and then pays peanuts and expects people to exploit their social networks with all the damage that causes. The only way to be in with a very slim chance of making money is to build a team of sellers (who are really customers). I see Tropic people recruiting all the time despite SM trying to disguise the fact it’s MLM.

@Netcurtainnellyyou make two typical MLM bot mistakes: the lazy assumption that MLM critics are simply envious and the misspelling of the word “you’re”. Both damage your argument in favour of MLM (such as it is).

I really like both Peter and Deborah, they’re very experienced and seem to be generous with their knowledge. If I had a den worthy idea, they’re the two I’d want as investors.

I'm really glad to not exploit people. It really wouldn't sit easy with me to get rich on the back of thousands of womens financial loss. No matter which way you carve it up, MLMs are exploitative.

Same. They're fab. I know less about Peter but Deborah is really very genuinely principled and doing all she can to do good. I used to like Stephen too but he's got a touch of the Andrew Tates about him recently.
