Welcome to Thread 10 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered

I can't get my head around people wanting traitors to win. In any season, ever. In my head it is a game of getting traitors out. I could never prefer the liars over the faithful. I get that Rachel and Stephen have done well, but I still want the faithful to weed them out.

To win as a faithful involves lying too though, especially if you clock the likely Traitors early on. To survive, it’s best to lightly befriend Traitors but not oust the Traitors til near the end. There’s no point ousting early on (because they can recruit) so you need to progressively and duplicitously help eliminate other Faithfuls, pretending you think they are traitors.

Am I the only one who sees a resemblance between Faraz and Richie Anderson (R2 current golden boy) - I kind of hate myself for it as its not their fault but the shape of both their mouths really irritates me so I don't like them !

Loved Claudia's kilt this series - my grandparents used to bring me back a kilt from their holiday to Tayside every year, each time in a different tartan and grandpa would relay the history of that tartan to me Grin. Fond memories.

MrsLeonFarrell · 22/01/2026 08:39

I agree with someone upthread who said Matthew would have made a better secret traitor than Fiona. Fiona kept reminding me of Sonia in series 2, thought she was a game playing genius and was wrong.

Matthew would have made more strategic lists for the traitors to choose from and the game would have unfolded very differently.

Htcunya · 22/01/2026 08:39

Jade has always been unemotional -god knows why Amanda etc haD it in for her.

In her general demeanour yes, but not at the round table. Amanda had noticed how flustered Jade looked after the traitors were picked and when this was put to her Jade reacted defensively. So Amanda was convinced Jade was a traitor. Doesn't say much for her detecting skills but she's by no means the only one who latched on to some aspect of body language and stuck with her hunch.

Roxy usually gets it wrong but at least she gives reasons for her choice.

Same. Quite surprised at the amount of people on these threads who want the Traitors to win - seem in the majority.

The Traitors have every advantage going and the Faithful nothing to work off, so a Faithful win means they have manged to work against all odds. I especially love seeing it happen right at the last minute. (Don't prefer where it's because of the way the Faithful thought ot through than accidental, but still like that.)

Yesterday was brilliant!! Loving the apparently sudden look at Rachel. Though I know Faraaz has been shown to consider Rachel as a possibility just once before. I did wonder how much musing it could be her was edited out. Has Faraaz been considering it since Fiona's blow up?

I think it’s that psychological phenomenon where people like to support the winner, then they rationalise why afterwards. As you say, the Traitors have all the advantages, and the Faithfuls have nothing so basically just look gormless (ie like losers). All they can hope for are Traitors who has too much personal integrity to keep lying and manipulating people direct to their faces without cracking.

The only way to change that dynamic is to find a way to work some actual clues into the game that smart Faithfuls can use to work out who the Traitors are, which would make people less likely to banish “too clever” players purely on the idea that smart = probably capable of being treacherous, simple = uncomplicated sweetie who couldn’t possibly be putting on an act.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 22/01/2026 09:19

The only hope the faithful have is Jack and Faraaz surviving the next murder. James is a liability. Roxy hasn't a clue and Jade doesn't appear to have built any alliances that we have seen.

Beachtastic · 22/01/2026 09:41

Opolope · 22/01/2026 01:38

I think murdering Faraaz is the only logical choice - and I don't think it'll bring much heat on Rachel actually. If he'd just said it to one or two people maybe that would bring the suspicion, but he said it to everyone so if course it makes sense the traitors would try and frame Rachel.

I also don't think Rachel meant she was going to turn on Stephen - maybe I'm naive but I think she really means to win it together. I just think she's saying there's no way they can continue to not even talk about each other with so few of them left in the game. I'd love to see both of them win it!

If that's what she meant, she worded it really clumsily. She could have said "From now on, how are we both going to deal with comments about each other?" Instead, it sounded as though she was warning him that he can no longer rely on her to be loyal.

threesocksmorgan · 22/01/2026 09:55

so glad Matt went, he was awful to jade the previous RT. then asked her for a hug !!!
I have warmed to rachel and steven. most likely because they have the most screen time.
have a real soft spot for James. Roxy is beyond irritating. hope she was murdered (feels odd saying that lol)

Yes I agree, it wasn't the best delivery - and it seemed to be very out of the blue and brisk. I chalked that up to editing but I admit that could be misguided

CharlotteRumpling · 22/01/2026 10:09

For those who are watching The Night Manager S 2, Ross's brother( from Traitors S 2), Kerr Logan, was on it as a dodgy Foreign Office fixer.
( No, Jack is not Ross's brother).

Skybunnee · 22/01/2026 10:28

To add to my point posted at 8.23 where emotions affect their choice rather than rational thinking -Fiona totally lost it because Amanda had confidentially told Rachel her previous career and not told Fiona-she was ridiculous, me being ‘a woman of a certain age’ as Fiona put it I felt really annoyed she’d made older women look stroppy and silly

THANK YOU!

People this week have me thinking I'm going mad because the thought of Rachel winning makes me want to rip my own corneas out.

I feel like I’ve eaten a whole box of Quality Street after I’ve watched this.
i feel like Im enjoying it at the time but at the end it just all feels pointless & unsatisfying.

Know exactly what you mean!

Advocodo · 22/01/2026 10:41

I want the faithfuls to win. They are mostly young and more in need of the money I feel. However if the murder Faraz tonight and get away with it then the Traitors derseve to win.

Airelles · 22/01/2026 10:43

I was not keen on Rachel at first as she seemed cold and ruthless but now I have warmed to her as I think she is just playing the game well and a kinder genuine person in real life. She is clever and in my opinion deserves to win. I think Stephen has only got as far as he has thanks to Rachel protecting him. I don't know if he deliberately chose not to understand what Rachel was saying last night or was not quick enough on the uptake...either way he doesn't deserve to win. Sam and Jade are my favourites of the remaining faithful. I am quite grateful to Sam for voting Matt out. Roxy is annoying but Faraaz needs to go to save Rachel.

Guessing you mean James when you say “Sam”?

Airelles · 22/01/2026 10:51

@ClaudiaWeveAllHadChildcareDaysLikeThat Oops yes. I meant James! Sorry. I will see if I can edit my post.

YourBrickTiger · 22/01/2026 10:52

Nah. Her attitude when she came in immediately put me off - I will do ANYTHING to win, it was all so cut throat which I know I KNOW is the point but to me it's too obvious and I don't know why they aren't picking up on it.

And then there will be the obvious panto and 'celebrity' appearances, can't bear it. I'd be better switching it off, it's making me angry.😅

I agree, as inevitably with so few players left now, it would be very hard for Rachel and Stephen to not talk about each other to the other players. However, Stephen clearly took it as a warning as he said something to the effect of 'game on' in relation to Rachel potentially betraying him. Maybe he hasn't trusted her as much as I have thought. I still say Rachel hopes to share the prizepot with him.

She made herself look stroppy and silly. Amanda was a similar age and didn't behave like that.

ContentedAlpaca · 22/01/2026 11:51

The thing that confuses and frustrates me is that the faithful have still seemed focused on getting a traitor out at the last few rounds tables. The last thing they need is a brand new traitor that has no pattern of behaviour to try to judge at the final stage.

Pinkbox · 22/01/2026 11:54

I am trying to remember - can two traitors win?

I can't recall if they ever have before and have been working out how it could happen. I think they start with five on the last evening, do a banishment at the table or fire pit, then Claud asks if they want to stop. At that point if they keep going and the traitors manage to banish the two remaining faithfuls, it would work yes? Or am I forgetting something obvious?

Yes, they can, but I don't recall any who were happy to share and they've all tried to get the others out so they can take the full pot.

Never known any Faithful who were sure all Traitors were gone try to get more Faithfuls out to get more money.

MrsLeonFarrell · 22/01/2026 12:01

Pretty much everyone wanted to be a traitor this series. There isn't a moral weight to being a faithful over a traitor, you sign up to play the game and have to play the role you are given to the best of your ability. Some are better game players than others and at the same time some players are better able to detach their emotions from the game than others. At this point I'm not that bothered who wins, I've just enjoyed the last few round tables being civilised discussions of who might be a traitor based on what could loosely be called evidence.

Heh, I'm not sure James was civilised!
