Hullo telly addicts I am very new to the party over here, but has the UK series of Ghosts got any fans ?
I watched the US version (Netflix) and was underwhelmed, tho' enjoyed the premise..then, through the magic of technology, discovered I could watch the Beeb original. I have been laughing out loud ! Love it ! So much funnier.
Been bingeing but aware I am running out of episodes ...and then I will doubtless be "sucked off" as the ghosts say...."moving on! " says Alison 😂
it's refreshing to watch something so well scripted and acted and so much fun (and often quite moving). I think it's going to be my new Schitt's Creek (ie watch on demand). Hope there are fellow Ghosties who agree !

We've just rewatched it over Christmas, it's a delight and I always think that the cast must have had such fun filming it.

We managed to watch the French version this weekend with DC doing French GCSE. Only watched one but seems good (if similar) so far.

This thread inspired me to rewatch The Hardest Word, from series 4, just so I could see Robin say “police academy”!

And then I saw Mary and remembered how much I love Katy Wix.

I have watched the whole series about 6 times, but now I am hoping to keep away from it a bit so it doesn’t become stale for me. I do, however, watch the Christmas specials every year, except for the final one.

I watch the US one every so often, catching three ep at a time because there are some funny bits in it. American sitcoms, which, as a Canadian, I grew up on, are a different animal.

I love the bit when Mike's alone for the evening and says I'll never sleep with these spooky ghosts here. And the next thing you see he's snoring away with his trifle going up and down on his tummy

Love Ghosts - watched Horrible Histories with my DC ( we were obsessed with the songs) then onto Ghosts when they were teenagers. Just brilliant characters & writing. We went to Button House - DD wouldn’t let me have a picture (lying on the ground) under Fanny’s window.

In some ways I am glad it ended when it did. Too many things go on and on and eventually run to the point where it's just not funny any more. But Ghosts is just perfect, long enough for you to feel satisfied, but getting out before the Law of Diminishing Returns.

Yay! DD started messaging me the other day when all the cast simultaneously posted a pic of the door of Button House, we are so excited for this!

I’ve just finished the Christmas special. But I’ve completely missed the point as I don’t understand the ending. I’m trying to avoid spoilers though
