Yes, January always feels like a long month, Jasmine has made it feel longer. How can there still be another week of it left????

I’m sure that January this year has far more days! It’s breeding extra days. It doesn’t end till next Saturday :(

January definitely feels like it's been going on for months now!

January, the month that likes to depress.
I have high hopes for this Mark junior , he had better be good or we will be moaning on for ages .. in fact, longer than the month of January is! No chance of him leaving either , he is definitely around till new years. I hope the casting agents have got it right

Aha at least. So the writers are drip feeding the characters from the Flashforward. Can only be a good thing.

What’s happening with Bea? I quite liked her and Roni Ancona is a good comedy actress. I thought Honey’s acting has been good recently too, gossipy, bitchy, Linda’s new best friends. They don’t seem to be concentrating on best friend relationships right now. Which is a bit far fetched.

I think things have improved a bit recently. You always have to suspend belief a bit with soaps. The Jasmine stuff doesn't annoy me as much as some of you.
Next week is Joel's trial and Avani's attackers trial, that could app be quite heavy.

At least we are guaranteed good acting with Joel and Tommy back on screen, so I am looking forward to that aspect. And hopefully a LOT less of Jasmine next week.

Have I missed something? Avani was attacked? I thought she was just giving evidence against Joel

Yes, Avani had an abortion. Joel’s baby after he coerced her into having sex :( Did he have a sex tape as well ? Not sure if he posted that anywhere though.

There was a tape , I am sure it went online .
There was also the older bloke (boyfriend , before Joel ) who was pressuring her for sex but Ravi sorted him out .
And the incident at the Police Station where she was strip searched for suspected drugs .

Poor Avani , she's been through a lot

There was a sex tape, after Joel was arrested for attacking Vicki the police went through his devices and found it, and they came to tell Avani about it.

Oh yes! Avani has been through the mill poor thing! Nugget too.

All the Panesars have had massive drama, half of them jailed, other half should be. It gives them a lot of screen time - but the stuff Nugget and Avani have been through before even leaving school!

They often pick on certain characters, Whitney was another, she always had an endless stream of agonising drama.

Yes, Whitney had a lot happen to her didn’t she.

The writers didn’t like her much , it felt relentless at times.

I agree about Avani and Nugget, plus it's going to get worse when the truth comes out about Nugget's recent attack. None of it has been their fault either, they have been victims of random events and coercive behaviour by others. They are good actors to make it all believable - Nugget especially has got much better than when he started, he is very low-key but expressive now, if that makes sense.

Avani started off playing the stereotype obnoxious teen but has shown she is just as vulnerable as any girl her age, even though she might look as if she knows her own mind more than most.

I think EE is very lucky with the teen actors they have hired recently (okay I know some are older) but Jasmine is the exception to that, poor kid. In at the deep end far too soon, drama-wise. She's had a lot of screen time and it's been really poor. While I'm having a moan, I also can't stand E-laine and her OTT pantomime dame carrying on with eye-rolling and waving her arms around. It really shows up when she's in a scene with a naturalistic sort of actor like Ian, Max or Linda - no matter how dramatic they get it's still believable.

E’ Laine thinks that George wants her back next week, but it’s just a meet up to tell her he is with Nicola apparently.

The writers really don't want us to like jasmine ,after the way she spoke to max ..being horrible to long standing characters,will not endear her character to fans .
I'm really hoping she leaves soon ,and takes the dreadful bee with her

Agree with a PP that Mark Jr reminded me of his uncle Mark!

Denise seems overly concerned about Phil and she was also very involved when he had his mental breakdown. I would hope they are not going down that path with those two. Just made me think when he shouted “you are not my wife” at her. And once again Phil’s door was just left unlocked for her to let herself in (and conveniently happen to find the passports!)

Maybe Max is arrested/framed for soliciting the murder of Jasmine in the flashforward?! But I’m praying she is not around for that long..

I had forgotten ( already ) that Max was arrested for soliciting to kill someone! He obviously managed to get off these charges, but makes you wonder who it is his after ! ( or if his been framed )

He sounded innocent in the flashback and he was eventually released later so would guess he’s been framed. Maybe it was Jasmine who had the gun and was holding Oscar and Lauren hostage in that episode. Again, would be absolutely dreadful if she is still around but unfortunately I can’t imagine they’ve invested this much in her awful character only to have her disappear. It’s such a shame they didn’t cast her properly. It beggars belief that they couldn’t find a proper actress amongst the thousands available for auditions out there.

I think if Jasmine had been involved, Oscar would have been a bit more concerned - if Jasmine was involved she'd presumably be delighted to tell him.

I really hope she is gone within weeks, I don't want her lurking around all year!

So, this Mark junior is another whispering gangster sort with a cockney accent mixed up in drugs. Sam had him sussed out during that first awkward conversation.
I also hate people who smash things up. All that cleaning up to do :(
E’laine was out of order with Ian. She can be nasty

It’s miraculous the way kids on EE spend their lives in a foreign country but get a cockney accent the minute they step of a plane (Gina, Anna..even Ben arrived on the square as a child from South Africa when Kathy ‘died’ with a London accent..) And now Mark who was born in Florida and has spent his life in the US, Australia and all the other random places ‘Chelle seems to have lived in, rocks up speaking cockney gangsta?😂

I have a friend born and raised in Scotland who left when he was 12 and moved to England. He still has a strong Glaswegian accent over 20 years later!
