Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I don’t know if it’s because we’d worked out he was mark jr but the actor did remind me of mark sr

FrostyFlo · 23/01/2026 08:01

So Mark has been living just around the corner then !
I mean how far would a half collapsing , beat up , staggering man travel to get to his uncle's house ?

Shellingbynight · 23/01/2026 08:34

@Ohitsatiara I agree with most of what you say, there are such ridiculous plot holes and things wrong with the show at the moment. Even Jessie Wallace is struggling to make sense of what she has to do! The new producer obviously isn't interested in the Linda-Phil relationship and she's playing second fiddle to Elaine in the knocking shop. Elaine has become a panto dame.

I hadn't thought of that (amongst all the other plot holes) @FrostyFlo - how far did Mark stagger with those injuries! And why do they always do this to the Mitchells. Last time Sam was thrown out of the back of a van.

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 09:33

Most returnees turn up in a taxi , so I assume that Mark jnr must have got one from somewhere!
He was living with his mum before ( who moves around a lot , so not sure exactly where ) but clearly been in London for a while , enough to be beaten up and in trouble and turn up at Phil’s unannounced. Luckily he hadn’t already taken off with one small holdall and two passports with a man with dementia! He made it in time! Phew.
Maybe Phil Mighy suggest he goes with them to visit his dad. I’m sure Grant wouldn’t mind a catch up with his old friend and son and brother who wasn’t that pleased to see him last year tbh.

Shellingbynight · 23/01/2026 09:38

The holdall was funny but it probably would actually be Phil's idea of packing! I hope he had room for the cash he keeps in the safe. It is very touching the way Phil talks about Nigel and wants to keep helping him to the end. They won't be going though, Julie finds out. I think the spoilers say Mark tells her. Just how big is Phil's house, there are a lot of people living there now!

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 10:45

Shelling, I was ( over ) thinking the way they all live together ( Phil’s is practically a hotel just now )
They must go to the launderette a lot as they always look clean and well turned out too. Well , the women do. Loads live at the Vic too.
No sign of an airer or clothes on a radiator to dry off the washing!

I wonder if George will move in with Nicola and Harry ?
They have a bit of space.
I was also thinking that Jean was blaming Zoe for Stacey leaving her and Lily behind , yet she has left Lily and Charli to move into an over crowded pub with a 2 year old toddler and the nasty Jasmine.
They really are hypocrites at times

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2026 12:25

What? Jean has moved into the Vic?!? Why would she do that? I thought she was staying at Lyn's or something? Is it to keep a closer eye on Jasmine and catch her out kind of thing?

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2026 12:27

And who is the 2 year old toddler in the Vic? Annie lives with Linda and Elaine at the hotel.

Shellingbynight · 23/01/2026 12:33

I think 80s meant that Lily and Charli are now living at the Vic. How do they all fit in! The 2 year old is Charli.

Jean at at Lynn's. With Mo who has the TV on all day. Another crowded house, I hope Lynn has a lot of spare rooms!

I think George will move in with Nicola at some point. The poor idiot!

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 12:40

Jean is now living with Big Mo and Lynne. Not sure where Lynne lives though. Jean took a train to her place a few weeks ago.
Alfie offered to take in Lily and Charli, so the Slater house is empty at the moment !

Phil's packing would be all the money, one pair of pants, one shirt and his passport. Job done. Bosh. Easily fits in one bag!

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 13:04

I get that Phil travels light ( because they all do ) but Nigel will have more to pack ( adult incontinence pads are bulky, his numerous ties, clothes and so on)
He would need a case on wheels at least for two! Lol

murasaki · 23/01/2026 13:13

One suitcase for ties, one for suits, and Phil will buy the rest from the magic safe full of euros behind a picture in the Portuguese House.

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 13:15

We saw the Portuguese house once with Peggy and Aunt Sal. It looked very nice.
I can imagine they have a safe crammed full of euros !

Meredusoleil · 23/01/2026 12:27

Charli -

Lily got Jasmine to babysit her last week ....you don;t need to be a clairvoyant to guess that wouldn't end well Hmm

My DD was asking why she was in a cot not a bed but I think it was a bit last minute and a busy pub must be a logistical nightmare to keep a small child safe in a strange place .

Shellingbynight · 23/01/2026 13:18

Yeh Phil would not be majoring on clothing that's for sure! Nigel would want all the shirts and ties though. Good luck to Phil getting a holdall full of cash through the scanners at the airport😆

I do wonder where they will go with the Nigel storyline. I don't think he'll go to a care home and I suspect he'll die within the next six months. It is going to be completely unrealistic if Grant never visits, and doesn't come to the funeral, so I hope they've got Ross Kemp lined up for that. (note to producers, there's no need for him to shag Sharon while he's here.)

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 13:20

They definitely need a stair gate on those lethal stairs at the pub! The amount of people who have fallen down them .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2026 13:21

Some CCTV wouldn't go amiss either Grin That's where Ken died and where the crisps are stored !

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 13:27

Poor Ken ! At least he lives on via Peggy in Spain or wherever Louise lives now.
Maybe she’ll show up in a few years time with loan sharks on her tail and ask the Mitchell’s for help !
..or take revenge on the six ( or is whoever left out of those ones !)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2026 13:35

I have caught up now , I missed the last five minutes , didn't realise Mark was back .

Jasmine needs to go on her own (and leave Oscar in Walford), my ears scream when she keeps calling Oscar "Babe"
I am bored to tears with the Ian/Elaine petty squabbling
Cindy and Max ...they are so going to get it back on .
Elaine and Ian had better not do it would be lazy writing .

I am watching Classic Eastenders .
It is November , they are talking about Guy Fawkes and wearing poppies .
Sam ( Daniella Westbrook Sam) and Jack&Jack are having their affair (which will result in Baby Rickaaaaayy )

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 13:42

70s, Phil answered the door and Mark jnr was on the door step all battered and bruised. Came in and collapsed on his stairs. ‘ ello uncle Phil ‘
It was green man jacket from New Year’s Day!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2026 14:04

Grin he was one of the highlights of the FlashForward wasn't he !

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 14:06

Yep, we all wondered who Max was waving too , so Mark is definitely going to be around a fair bit now.
If we all dislike him, it could be a long year ! Lol

murasaki · 23/01/2026 14:15

Maybe he'll take some screen time away from Jasmine and Zoe. That can only be a good thing.

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2026 14:17

I am so hoping that Jasmine is gone by the end of Jan .. which is a month that is dragging on and on at the moment!
