I would hate one big massive room like that. You have to keep it all tidy, all of the time. Looked nice though. And the utility was lovely.

Yes, I wouldn’t like an open plan arrangement like that but it did look nice. I preferred that second bungalow. They’ll probably sell once their daughter is out of school to free up some money.

It never felt like they were serious about listing with the extensive requirements they had. They did a nice job with the renovation, although I'm not sure about only having 1 downstairs living space. I don't know how much value they've actually added by removing that wall and converting the downstairs study - I was surprised by the £50k+ figure. I suppose I should trust Kirstie's valuations 😂

Agree. Only one main downstairs room, kitchen, dining and lounge/ TV area - doesn’t seem practical at all.

it was also nuts that a main driver for moving seemed to be to release equity as the two of them had supposedly been unable to work and were really strapped for cash, wanting to downsize- yet they spent 50k on knocking a few walls down instead! Crazy.

A massive improvement- loved the utility room. And remember the daughter had the two rooms on the top floor all to herself - the perfect configuration with a teenager I’d say. My favourite moment in the show was Kirstie’s admission that she doesn’t sit on her sofa as she doesn’t want to mess up the cushions 🤣 I have similar cushion plumping tendencies myself - I always do it before I go to bed and I actually took a photo of the sofa and coffee table before I went away two weeks ago so I could send it to the kids before I came home to remind them how it was meant to look (and they complied!), but I do allow myself - and other people - to sit on it! That’s what it’s for at the end of the day.
