I agree. I think you could tell from the start they were not going to move due to the wife's firm resolve to stay!

Me and DH watched and said from the get go, no way are they moving with that school catchment. IYKYK.

I’m so annoyed that the reveal at the end completely failed to tell us if they had installed a bath!

I love this show but the fundamental flaw in the format is that they can never actually buy any of the houses that they visit, because they would obviously not be in a position to sell the current one mid-renovation. So the visits are only ever illustrative, which is fine until they start focusing on their unique/quirky features.

I loved that old/new third house - such a lot of house for the money. They did a good job in the end and their house looked a lot better.

The upstairs shower room already had enough space for a bath so would have been minimal work. Would be mad to have that lovely downstairs and still be using a camping bath upstairs!

I know completely mad to not have a bath and have a three young children and to have space for one

They did a great job and definitely the right idea to stay but they are way over the value for the street now - but hopefully it’s now their actual forever home so they won’t be moving again! I was curious to know how many of the previous 6 moves were owned or rented. The amount of LBTT (stamp duty) they would have incurred on that many sales would be mind-boggling! Their businesses must be pretty successful - which also seems amazing that they can be run from a cupboard in the hall or the teen son’s bedroom.

Love the second house. Really dislike new builds like the first one. So cold and clinical looking 😞

They so rarely opt to list that the episodes all seem to have a foregone conclusion imho

I thought that they had left his bedroom where it was originally instead of using Kirsty's suggestion to relocate it to near the new shower/utility.

The old / new third house didn’t work imho. The new exterior looked dated already.

The reno was pretty good. That narrow sitting room would have put me off from the start though!

In places in the areas around Glasgow, it very much depends on which school catchment the house is in. People pay huge premiums on the house price to get into the better schools. The 3 other houses shown may have looked like much more house for the money, but you probably would end up paying for private education on top of that. Plus remember houses are sold as “offers over” so in the right areas they will sell for significantly higher than the home report value due to demand. The third house in particular was in a far worse area.@

His old bedroom was the same as it was. Instead they make the kitchen a playroom.

Loving it was the right choice but I think the wife had already decided that anyway 😅
