Started with 1 in the living room, B and W.

Then my parents rented a colour TV, every kid in the street came round to see this marvel as they had only been seen in shops. The engineer setting it up (anyone else old enough to remember when the TV was delivered and 'set up') had to wait for a cartoon to get the colour right because it was Saturday morning and the sports shows were all in B and W.

We moved to a house that had two living rooms, and we got another TV for that.

When I was about 14 I won a B and W portable in a raffle. This was supposed to be shared with my brother, one week in his room and then one week in mine.

In reality my brother had the TV 90% of the time. But it did mean if there was something I really did want to see I could argue that my brother had had the TV for seven weeks or whatever.

None until I was in junior school. 1960s. Then one black & white set.

1 for early childhood , but up to 4 when I was a teen . I never had one in my bedroom until I bought my own home.

One until I was a teenager and then we had two. I had the old tv up stairs which must have been at least 20 years old by this point!

1, same as my kids' (current) childhood home.

Two, one in the front room and one in the dining extension of the kitchen. That one was black and white with dial tuning and a wire hoop aerial. This was in the 70s/80s. Parents still live there and have one in their bedroom as well.
