Is it just me or was Anthony quite a sweetie back in the day ? I am finding the whole persona a bit unconvincing but not sure if it is just my memory.

Previous Antony was presented as dull, boring, could be nasty but pretty much okay.

But there's always been a dodgy backstory. When young, Antony was driving while drunk, and hit a girl and crippled her. Paul took the blame for it and went to prison for him so as not to ruin Antony's doctoring career. So Antony has a history of wrongdoing - both doing the crime and then letting his brother go to jail for it.

I actually thought this but my 15 year old pointed out how classic this is of abusive men. And he is right.

Probably made up, but I read that Max gets mixed up with Ravi and the drug dealers.
However, there will be lots of speculation I suppose after the New years one is broadcast.

Anthony was ok back in the day. His mum made Paul take the rap for him , but I don’t remember him being as nasty as he has been the last few months.
He did sleep with Kat and Zoe , so low morals.
it’s nothing new for Albert square though where someone sleeps with someone else they shouldn’t almost on a daily basis! Lol

Antknee was a dull but good hearted man, in contrast to his brother, who was a wrong ‘un but quite entertaining. They completely (ridiculously!) changed his character for his comeback - to abusive, angry, hard drinking nutjob!

i'm not sure he was good hearted, he bounced back and fore between Kat & Zoe, then left after they had him cause the death of a patient.

He did his fair share of shouting and angsting back then.

If Max kills someone in a years time ( going by what Jack and Jack said in the trailer ) I bet they still haven’t put up any cctv outside anywhere !

There definitely won't be any CCTV in Walford in a year's time😆

Max is utterly stellar. Riveting to watch. Chaos!
As is Oscar who has great people skills and emotional savvy when he's not being a wayward teen.

You can tell that Oscar was brought up by Tanya and Cora can’t you! Much more common sense than Max has. Although he did end up in juvenile detention, so maybe I am being a bit gracious , but I don’t think it was for anything really bad. Probably just a bit wayward at times and a rebel. I hope they don’t change him too much and he doesn’t go near Jasmine again ( although that may become an on and off thing there if she is sticking around !)

Oscar has some of Max's qualities - he has potential to be a high flying salesman one day (going by his performance on the fruit n veg stall where he is a born natural!)
Oscar has craziness but it's the light type, not Max's deeply rooted, trauma driven, self sabotaging anger explosions.

Max is just so complex isn’t he.
My late mum wouid have called him ‘ a womanizer ‘ !

They're both sooooo watchable

They are very good. Max is sleazy and difficult, but his history with women is amazing. He reminds me of an old colleague I once knew who wasn’t particularly good looking , but managed to charm all the women for miles around. What they all saw in him I’m not sure , but you can’t put a price on charisma I suppose. Some people just have it in spades.

Season 5, episode 5, major character reveals she had a baby and abandoned her at the hospital....

Jake gives Max such charisma and charm, I don't know how he does it when you think of Max's tawdry history! Oscar has all the charm but without the bad parts. The teenage crime spree (very unsuccessful, he kept getting caught!) seemed to be a device for Tanya to throw him out.

Max is wicked but charismatic.
Oscar is naughty but nice.
Both have so much amazing energy.

I've just read something online about the FFW trailer which says Max is seen in bed with an obviously pregnant woman! I didn't see that anywhere though?!?

I read that too, and thought I must’ve missed something so after seeing your post I watched the trailer again on Facebook and still can’t see this pregnant woman.

This is really weird. It definitely isn't in the trailer, but the producer specifically mentions the pregnant woman in this interview as if we've all seen it!

Yes the fast forward one on New Year's Day. Reading the article it sounds so complicated when it probably isn't at all.

So the pregnant woman is in the flash forward episode. Rules out Cindy then.
