I thought it was laugh-out-loud funny! I cannot understand the negative comments at all!

I thought it was awful. Not funny at all. In fact, absolute rubbish.

I enjoyed it I thought the visual jokes around Amanda's appearance (and relation to her possible father) were really funny. Also enjoyed the sibling relationship of the sisters.

I've played The Minister's Cat (and taught it to teenagers).
Also Are You There Moriarty.

how do you play them?

Are you there Moriarty - blind fold 2 people and give them a soft weapon eg a rolled up newspaper. The first one says "are you there, Moriarty?" and the second one says "yes", then the first one has to try to hit them. Then it's reversed. If you get hit, you're out.
The Ministers Cat is a word game. The first person saying " The Minister's Cat is an amazing cat " then the second person The Minister's Cat is an amazing, black cat" and so on, adding an adjective for every letter of the alphabet. You're out if you forget one or get muddled.
Simpler times.
Our tv only had 2 channels and even that was restricted..,
