I thought this was going to be a new SF drama and got quite excited.

But turns out to be a Dr Who spin off, so less excited.

Cant see a thread about, so adding this.

Only review I have seen has spoilers so wont post link but this is the iPlayer link.

Really enjoying it so far. I’m a lifelong Dr Who fan and have liked everything with RT in too. Very typical Russell T Davies stuff which is ok with me 😊

Peter Capaldi is a pretty decent Doctor too. Heaven sent is one of his best episodes of you'd like a flavour.

But Lewis Capaldi could be the saviour of Doctor Who …

Why did they not pursue the unidentified 3rd type of lifeform which came through the water tubes? We didn't hear what that was. Could it possibly be revealed as the Dr????

The third unidentified lifeform was Salt.

The first being homo aqua, and second being the gigantic fish.

I enjoyed it. I feel like I have grown out of Doctor Who and the franticness of the main character which I found more and more irritating.

Yes, it was preachy, but that didn't detract from the story for me.

I will always think of Russel Tovey as the werewolf from Being Human no matter what role he plays though.

Watched ep 1. Dear me!! Preposterous!! Awful

I really enjoyed it too. I love Russel tovey as an actor & the story is a feel good redemption one ( I hope!) .

We weren’t impressed either. Watch the first episode and turned it off. Dear me. That dialogue … the script …

The script may be bad, but the plot is quite twisty and fun.

Episodes 3 and 4 … took a bit of a Slow Horses path!

Still liking it.

Have watched some this eve with dp and ds2. Has made me really question licence fee again. Utter bilge imo. I am fairly open minded re bilge as in have watched various bilgey things but this takes the biscuit!

At least it wasn’t all rushing about and the story developed unlike Dr Who nowadays

Yup just watched 3 and 4 and kind of lost interest. Shame cos it promised so much.

At the end of episode 3, family and I agreed it was getting better.

Then episode 4 happened. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well I thought Ep 3 & 4 were amazing. I enjoyed 1 & 2 but 3 and 4 were just brilliant. Loving it here.

In fact I found episodes 3 & 4 better. Maybe I just got into the daftness.

Quite impressed with some of the special effects but have to say what was meant to be the big assembly of the Sea people was terrible.

And got distracted by trying to remember the Silent Witness part the bomb carrying traitor had had. Let alone his terrible (australian?) accent!

The character I have most sympathy for is Jemma Redgrave's. Surely the true representation of Brit stoicism!

But just to add I see that Russell T Davies didn't actually write the script, so suspect whoever is doing it is just doing a sort RTD pastiche.

Although I liked the joke about the ears being fins as (and I shouldn't admit this) but Russel Tovey hard to take seriously. He always plays the same sort of character.

I had to bow out after the third episode.
I'm sorry, the humans are soo soo bad and we are all portrayed as white evil looking men, we are a blight on the universe unless you are a woke man with a black wife and are going to have sex with a fish.
It's absolutely woke bollocks, more of the same from the Dr Who era, I just cannot.
All the same tropes.
All the same ridiculous simplified, let's just be a happy clappy society.
Just fucking awful.

I kept going and now I'm positively cringing close to injury at episode 4 😖 I need brain bleach.
