Cheers. I probably won't find it then? Do you remember which series?

I've just found in on YouTube but for some reason I can't post a link. Search Strictly Lindyhop chaos and all will be revealed.

wonderstuff · 23/11/2025 20:12

I do think LV has been very entertaining. Not normally a fan of drag myself but they have been very funny, jokes pitched perfectly which I don’t think is easy at all, taking it seriously and taking the piss at the same time. My favourite contestant by far this year.

EsmaCannonball · 23/11/2025 20:13

The Instant Dance idea sounds a bit more watchable that the -athons. I always find them too chaotic and busy to know what is going on.

Starandflowers · 23/11/2025 20:14

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/11/2025 20:07

@Starandflowers no but it still smells of favouritism

I think you are reading far too much into it and as others said they couldn’t cancel the show due to the group number being promoted so much

I enjoyed the goodbye interview and would for the first time get tickets for the tour if La Voix was in it

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/11/2025 20:15

I need to start the next thread early as I am occupied. Mark place and fill this up first.

I read that it was something at the base of his foot, where the big toe joins the rest of the foot. If he’d walked on it more it would have got worse and become a stress fracture.

I can quite see that wearing high heels rather than flat shoes puts pressure on that joint. Dancing in heels for several hours a day, for five/six/seven days a week of rehearsals, puts much more force on it than walking in them for performances.

Plus LV starts panto on 12th Dec thru to Jan in High Wycombe, he has to be fit for that. I would have thought they also want LV on the strictly live tour from late Jan. I wondered if LV’s fitness has delayed the pro celebs being announced.

Balvinder will be gone next week. She isn’t terrible , but I’ve found her dances just boring

She has the jive so I fear her time will be up.

Thank you. Watching Forsytes atm I'll watch after.

dapsnotplimsolls · 23/11/2025 20:21

Did they say what Amber's dance will be next week?

I don't think they did.

Would have preferred The Fizz to Lewis. Saw Jaye Aston sat next to Jay last night.
None of the previous injured have had their farewell done like Chris, no, but you had filler there, the decision for no elim was taken much earlier and it therefore made perfect sense to do it like that.
Funnily enough, you now have enough withdrawals for an all stars ;-) There have been 16 in total: Jimmy, Kelly, Jade, Nicola, Robert, AJ, Tony, Nigel, Stefan and LaVoix (Dani and Kristian)
Amanda will never be back
Will B felt it impact his career
Will Y would never return
John S is 81
Jimmy, Kristian and Robert probably would not risk it
Leaves you with 5 women, 3 men, 1 drag queen

I would do it as a Xmas special, Kelly has already participated in them...so any of
Jade
Nicola
AJ
Dani (if not competing next series)
Nigel
Tony
Chris as himself in flats would be interesting

I do think Vito will get the Xmas mirrorball this year, as he has Scarlett Moffatt ringer ringer turkey dinner. 😁

Jowita.

Ahh yes. Thank you x

@StrictlySequinsandStiIettos
Ooh, I like that idea, although I'm hoping that Dani will do next year's series as she'd be starting from scratch.
Is Scarlett the only Christmas Special contestant confirmed so far? I didn't realise she was a ringer!

Scarlett’s insta is full of her doing ballroom dance comps as a 10 - 14 ish year old.

Oh yes

actually just checked it wasn’t that long ago

ilovesooty · 23/11/2025 19:58

AJ, Kelly and Denise didn't.

AJ did get interviewed by Claudia live during the final she should have been part of - I remember her sitting tearfully in her gorgeous silver dress that had been created for her show dance, and her diamanté crutches that Vicky Gill had made for her. But again, they had the same problem then - a final designed for 3 couples dancing that was suddenly down to 2, and lots of time to fill.

I seem to recall it was a really uncomfortable watch. She was so devastated it seemed very cruel to a) put a camera on her b) grill her about it even though was the marvellous Claudia who always makes people feel better.

Butteredtoast55 · 23/11/2025 21:23

Which Denise had to withdraw?

Apologies - I was thinking of Denise Lewis but I got confused with Jade Johnson, who had to withdraw due to injury.

I would agree, he's not been rude, crude or sexual. He hasn't flirted with Aljaz, he's just brought a bit of humour and colour in amongst the intensity.

wonderstuff · 23/11/2025 21:44

I thought about seeing him in panto, but it’s a bit too far for me to travel!

PoppysAunt · 23/11/2025 21:46

Umbilicat · 23/11/2025 20:12

It just doesn’t - they had to fill a long show somehow

I agree. It's tough for them to fill a show like this with no DO.

I would still love to see AJ and Kai's show dance.
