I read somewhere, apologies if it was here, that LV’s foot was already damaged last week meaning he/she changed fairly late on to dancing in flat shoes rather than high heels.

They did a danceathon, all the remaining couples on the floor at the same doing Lindyhop they were score best to worst but the scores got messed up (I think there might have been an electronic score board in play but I could be wrong) and it rapidly descended to absolute chaos. Then forward stepped Bruno who sorted everything out. It was unexpected to say the least as he appeared to be fairly 'merry' at the time.

Please no - he’s never been able to bring out the best in his partners at all. Almost takes them to Anton levels of ridiculous, so I’m happy if he never gets a partner on the show again!!

They had to fill that non show with something. I liked LV she brought a bit of life to an otherwise dull series, Was worth watching the beginning to see Layton dance though. The rest was just filler with added LC wailing away.

I thought Blackpool Week was going to be a bit dull without La Voix but the whole thing was really enjoyable. I liked all the dances, liked that they all got to enjoy the experience without a dance-off and loved the returning celeb-pro routine. I was worried the celebs would have lost it but they were all on form.

The only thing that didn't quite work was Lewis Capaldi. Nothing against him but he's not very Blackpool, is he? They should have dragged Jay and Cheryl from Bucks Fizz out of their seats and got them to do an Instant Song with Paul Chuckle. That would have been Blackpool.

I read that it was something at the base of his foot, where the big toe joins the rest of the foot. If he’d walked on it more it would have got worse and become a stress fracture.

I can quite see that wearing high heels rather than flat shoes puts pressure on that joint. Dancing in heels for several hours a day, for five/six/seven days a week of rehearsals, puts much more force on it than walking in them for performances.

I thought the judges were doing a special dance this week with Tess and Claudia. Did I miss it?

They did a little bit last night, at the start I think?

Plus, they've paid for that giant heart to come down from the ceiling so they might as well have something to show for the money.

It was the opening number. Claud joked that you’d never believe they actually rehearsed for hours. Tess went the wrong way I think.
