@Halsall Lapland Ascot not the one you have to get on a plane for . It was absolutely magical although tinged with a little sadness as it was the "make a wish" and ND children day. Amazingly well organised, the children were blown away and my grandson is now 100% convinced he is an Elf. Even an old cynic like me had my breath taken away at times.

I'm recording the current series even though I know next to none of the "celebrities" and then watching, while reading this thread - frequently pausing to snigger like a superannuated schoolgirl. You're all so quick and witty; you really add a dimension to the series that it desperately needs. Grace Dent is grand as a judge and I never really minded John Torode but without all the saucy comments on here, the series is a bit like champ with too few scallions and not enough butter.

I'm recording tonight's episode as I'm watching football.

I got the Xmas decs up Sunday. Its rather bittersweet and I feel some type of way. I miss mammy. 7 months come Tuesday. My first Xmas alone.

It’s very hard, @PotterHead1985, sorry to say. It’s 5 years since I lost my lovely mum who used to watch MC with me. You'll never stop missing her but you find a way to live with it somehow x
