I'm not a yummy mummy or middle class. I find Paul funny actually but he's a bloke and putting on a dress cannot and never will make him a her.

But he’s not claiming to be a her - it’s a character 🤷‍♀️

I like La Voix as a person but I do think he’s the weakest dancer left at this point. I think La Voix, Amber, Vicky, Bal, and Alex will be the next ones to leave (in any order) with George possibly going before some of them if the choreo continues to let him down.

The weakest by a country mile and has been for the last few weeks. Great at standup and the quick one liners but should have gone out three weeks ago on the dancing.

EsmaCannonball · 15/11/2025 20:27

I'm jinxing her by saying this but I gave all my votes to Karen. She's my favourite left in the competition and was in the bottom half of the leaderboard. Lewis is my runner up. La Voix is my entertaining not-quite duffer.

I suspect Amber would have ended up in the bottom two had she not been top of the leaderboard.

I think Vicky was the weakest. Her tango was excellent and surprising but I have been genuinely nonplussed by the marks and comments for all her other dances. She always seems scrappy and unsteady to me.

I liked Alex's simple waltz but I am committed to Karen now.

Your prejudice is neither here nor there

I don't think it's prejudice to use the right pronouns for someone?

The problem is not whether Chris is a “he” and the character of LaVoix is a “she” - its nothing to do with “hate”. Its the fact that Chris/LaVoix is objectively the weakest dancer and has been for several weeks and is overmarked by the judges. Shirley in particular just gushes and over marks every week and whilst that is not Chris’s fault it does add to the inconsistency in the judging and the unfairness.

PrincessScarlett · 15/11/2025 20:29

What's the betting that Strictly have had plans from the off about what they will do with La Voix in Blackpool.

He's a drag Artist.

I do find all the hate on here towards him very MN.

Agree!

Spot on!

I quite like Chris/La Voix but it's really not fair that he is the weakest dancer and has been for weeks but the judges constantly overmark and also give La Voix so much more screen time.

EsmaCannonball · 15/11/2025 20:32

Did anyone else finish all their Strictly Snacks before the first dance even started? All those bloody VTs and then I had a long show ahead of me with no goodies to munch on.

I don't hate La Voix.
I do hate womanface and I also hate being expected to refer to La Voix as "her".

Exactly. I have nothing against Chris / La Voix at all but I do mind the manipulation that's going on.

I finished my three lollies before it started.
🤣

I think it has more to do with the partiality in the judging. Every year Shirley in particular seems to have a favourite over whom she gushes and who is overmarked and who goes further in the contest at the expense of better dancers and every year this irritates a lot of fans. This year it happens to be LaVoix.

I thought we'd put the pronouns issue to bed a while ago.

Who is saying you have to refer to La Voix as her?

There is no issue with pronouns here. Chris is a man, LaVoix is just his Drag character. Chris isn't crude or rude, he's not anti female, he doesn't flirt with Alijaz or anyone else, he just has some banter with Tess and Claud. etc.
I personally don't see a problem, but very obviously, opinions on here vary.

Figgygal · 15/11/2025 20:35

Wasn't impressed overall this week other than Kai in the jive.

Split my votes between Kaz and Bal.

Entertainment value comes into it too though; historically even winners aren't necessarily the best dancers out of the finalists, but the most popular/most improved/most enjoyed.

Holluschickie · 15/11/2025 20:39

I don't hate La Voix- why would I- but find him consistently overpraised and overscored. I think he reached his limit some time ago.

MessageMystery · 15/11/2025 20:47

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 15/11/2025 19:52

Could they be trying any harder to force La Voix to Blackpool?

I gave all my votes to La Voix. They may not be the best dancer but they are the most entertaining by a country mile.

gingercat02 · 15/11/2025 20:49

Well far from live, just caught up.
Was there some S&M vibe going on with Nikita and Kayta, weird.
Bit of a dull night, Alex had her granny's nightwear on, liked Karen, Lewis (obviously), Vicky (but she wasn't fit enough for that jive) and Bal
Voted 1 each for Alex, Bal, Vicky, George and Karen.

Guildford321 · 15/11/2025 20:55

Kreepture · 15/11/2025 20:15

its isn't making him a her, he's never claimed to be a her, but la voix, as the character he plays is a female, and as such, when performing as la voix, her is the correct terminology.

Same as with Lily Savage and Dame Edna et al.

Your prejudice is neither here nor there.

It's not prejudice for goodness sake, it's a biological fact. Womanhood isn't a costume.
