I’m not a conspiracy theorist on the whole but it does seem to me that LV was set up as a shoe-in for Blackpool. It is unfair imo.

I like Chris, he seems to be working hard and taking the process seriously, so it’s nothing personal.

I just think that obvious manipulation demeans the show and it’s disappointing that people of the calibre of the four judges are playing along with it.

It was disgraceful. Harry took it in good part but he shouldn't have had to. I like Chris and La Voix but the act has been pushed shamelessly and had more airtime than others. That's unfair on everyone, even on La Voix because it breeds resentment.

I've become pig sick of Strictly this year. Stupid Wooowhhhhhs from Motsi and Shirley, judges thinking they're more important than the show, stupid theming, daft music - I'm fast going off it. I like Vicky's dances but I can't stick her and the obsession with Cheryl Cole and Newcastle.

When did it start to get like this? I started watching when I was 14 and it was never so ridiculous. They can't get the balance right between making the show fun and it being a joke.

I agree, in the early weeks there were other dancers either worse or no better but I assumed after the Tina Turner disaster that he was being kept in for Blackpool. At the point where better dancers (ie progressing dancers) go out leaving a weaker candidate in it just looks unprofessional.
Its not the first time they have kept a preferred celeb in for Blackpool whilst most of the public are bewildered. Perhaps that will be his last week.

Pretty sure they wanted Michelle Visage for Blackpool as well and she got there. She did a dreadful couples choice (chosen by her) with Gio and quite rightly was sent home.

Isn’t going out at Blackpool often seen as a good thing for the weaker dancers who get through (or are dragged through - no pun intended - by producers)?

They get to dance twice and have their final hurrah in that fabulous ballroom.

Yes, I wanted it to be so much better, I don't think she got on with Giovanni and there was tension it was very awkward.

It had so much promise !

I did like her Adams Family routine though

Strange how some dances stick in your mind ...and yet others ..puff .. forgotten even before the episode has finished !

Yes. I got the impression it wasn't what Gio wanted. He was right!

I just watched the Saturday show tonight, I'm very behind with it. I'm so distracted by both Amber and Vicky when they are talking because of what they've done to their faces. I'm sure they'd look better without it all and I'm also sure it's unnecessary.

I was just thinking about Strictly. Years ago I watched every scrap of dance, all the behind the scenes stuff, all the interviews and happily enjoyed it. Last week I waited until the show was half over, skimmed past a load of the dances and only watched my favourites, setting up to being able to vote at the end. I skim through ITT and I fast forward through all the rehearsal stuff. I'm caring less and less every year.
I think this year, with Amber and Lewis being so much more experienced than the other celebrities, it feels kind of 'off'. I wonder if the original contestants had taken part and they hadn't been subbed in, whether it would have caught my attention more.
These days, I mainly watch the results show, especially for the pro dance and the routine with whoever is plugging their album that week. I skim through the dance off and the results for that as well.
I'm not sure if I'll keep watching it next year.

At this point, it feels like there's a lot of strong journey dancers competing for one final slot by the end because I can't see how two final slots aren't going to be taken by Lewis and Amber.

Amber and Lewis both replaced people with little if any dance experience, so it's been a very different competition to what it would have been. And then Stefan pulling out changed things again.

The antics are what put me off and the obvious manipulative outcome of last weekend's dance off.

It’s not impossible that at some point they’ll be in the DO against each other.

@nomdegrrr1 I was out so I recorded it. I watched all the dances, scores and Clauditorium segments. The only VT I watched was Alex and Harry. It gets too silly for me now.

Don't know how it will happen to get there but that's my vote.

Yes I don't know if she still lives in Newcastle but in celeb world its amazing how many of them harp on about their childhood town and how great it is , how fab the people are , and the people are so friendly etc , all whilst living in a totally different place !

That would only happen in the event of Lewis and amber being in a dance off together.

Or Amber and Vicky, if Vicky scores higher on the leaderboard as we saw last week.

No i think Amber will be sent home against someone else at some point!

I also think either Lewis or Amber will be out before the final, one way or another. Nobody could believe it when Pixie Lott was sent home - quarter final iirc - but it does happen. Someone who’s good with the stats would be able to tell us how many ringers have fallen at the final fence, there’s been a few, and I think the judges know a three person final with both Amber and Lewis in it would be short on wow factor for Strictly fans.

If Lewis and Amber do make it to the final, then whomever else is in it with them as won.
And wheres the fun in that?!

Why would you think Lewis wouldn't win when Kelvin Fletcher did?
