Yes, but everyone stop the trans shit. Drag is not trans. The dame and the ugly sisters in panto are not trans but they are drag.

Drag is still a man prancing around in heels, fake tits and make up pretending to be a woman though.

The BBC is utterly captivated by men pretending to be women in any form( see latest leaked memos about how they report trans stories and Martine Croxall getting reprimanded for correcting the words pregnant people to pregnant women) so I'm absolutely sure the judges were told to save LV.

GuyForksAndKnives · 09/11/2025 21:32

I was wondering if they'd make mention of Quentin Willson. But maybe they did and Vicky squealed over them.

Thmssngvwlsrnd · 09/11/2025 22:00

Very disappointed that La Voix didn't go. Harry's dance looked much more difficult to me (though I know nothing).

Asunciondeflata · 09/11/2025 22:12

I've just watched it, and I'm going against the grain to say that LaVoix's dance was better. I thought there was more musicality and the turns were improved. It was smooth, and light. I like Harry very much, but I don't think it was quite as synchronised, and although he seemed lighter, it was still heavy in parts.
I thought it was very close though, and am sad to see Harry go, he's such a lovely man.

whitewineandsnacks · 09/11/2025 22:48

Drag is not Trans - Le Voix is not Trans - not the same at all.
George is not vacuous- think at 25 he makes more money than many of the other contestants on the show.

BogRollBOGOF · 09/11/2025 23:23

That was a shame; I thought Harry did a decent job of more complex choreography.

I like Chris' personality when he's not in La Voix persona (and La Voix has made me laugh along the way) and he really does seem to appreciate his place in the competition, but I think he is the weaker dancer.

I wonder if this is a repeat of Angela Rippon- artificially keeping a contestant in for Blackpool at the expense of a few other better dancers.

The trouble is the final is highly likely to contain Lewis and Amber and at this point Vickie is also looking like a strong contender (my ears can't take the screeching). Will there be a 4th with Stefan withdrawing? I'd rather see Karen and Alex there, and George has great potential when he's on form.

I'm glad Balvinder's gone straight through again. Her dance really allowed the joy to shine through.

dapsnotplimsolls · 09/11/2025 23:30

I think there'll only be 3 in the final now. Ideal scenario - Amber and Lewis in a DO so only 1 can reach the final but I can't see that happening.

I am not so certain whether Lewis is popular enough to avoid a dance off if he ends up in the middle of the leaderboard.

Ringers aren't popular and even Danny Mac had to do a dance off back in 2015. Out of Amber and Lewis, I'd rather see Lewis in the final.

dapsnotplimsolls · 10/11/2025 00:14

I'd rather see Lewis too.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 05:57

I’d also rather see Lewis in final and hoping for Amber to go soon, good as she is. Bal will be out before long, but with any luck we’ll get Alex, Lewis, and Karen, Vicky or George in the final. I’d like Karen to win, but as pps have said, she’s let down by costume and makeup. This week’s ensemble with that baggy shirt bunching up around her shoulders was about as unflattering as it gets.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 06:14

Also think the Angela Rippon effect is at play with the judges getting LV to Blackpool. He’s done pretty well, seems nice and is entertaining up to a point, but it’s wearing thin and he’s the weakest dancer now by far.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 06:37

@BogRollBOGOF
Agree with you about Angela Rippon/Blackpool, I meant to say.

bizzey · 10/11/2025 08:01

La Voix is due to star in Pantomime Friday 12th December .

KimberleyClark · 10/11/2025 09:17

I would rather see Amber in the final than Lewis. I like her. And I think Nikita deserves a win too.

GuyForksAndKnives · 10/11/2025 09:20

I'd rather see the back of Vicky. Fed up of her histrionics.

JoeMarlerseyes · 10/11/2025 09:24

I prefer vicky to amber and her fakeness.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 09:31

Whatever else happens I think Alex will get to the final. Last two weeks weren’t her best, but she’s staying out of the DO so probably has as much support elsewhere as she does on here. She’d be the oldest finalist since Pamela Stevenson who was 63, whenever that was.

Agree and I'll bet my bottom dollar that LV's dance on Saturday is a Couples Choice which gives him almost certainly a free pass for Blackpool.

What makes you think Amber is fake? Do you know her IRL?

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 10:01

@Freysimo
thats a good point

Bluevelvetsofa · 10/11/2025 10:06

I think I know what @JoeMarlerseyes means though. Amber has a sort of ‘Oh, I need to write this down, so I’ll remember’ vibe, when everyone knows that musical theatre is her job and she must learn routines all the time. It just doesn’t feel genuine and try too hard.

Theres no doubt she is talented, but there is something about her that doesn’t gel.

Layton was so talented, but he seemed to overcome the ringer vibe in a way she doesn’t.

Lewis doesn’t have the same cringe factor.

Garamousalata · 10/11/2025 10:15

I’m glad I’m not the only one to think that result was wrong. Harry gave a much better performance, his dancing is far better than LV. I think LV has been kept in for the entertainment value.

My DH who could not be less interested or informed on matters Strictly happened to be in the room during the dance off on Sunday and even he thought LV was noticeably weaker as a dancer.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 10/11/2025 10:34

Definitely not the only one, Harry’s was the better dance by miles. I bet LV received a much smaller share of the public vote and without the judges’ involvement he’d have been gone. To be fair to LV, I think he knows it too.

Agree. Amber I find fake in the sense of she knocks out a dance that could almost be pro standard, the judges gush approvingly over it and Amber acts like that's a massive shock that they liked it and thought it was good. She's a musical theatre actress, she knows a good dance when she sees/does one.

Lewis on the other hand I feel is too far the other way. He knocks out a banging dance and stands grinning in front of the judges just waiting for the praise to come his way. Like he knows it will and is expecting it. Tom Chambers vibes tbh.

Just my opinion though.
