I feel I'm being disloyal as a northerner but Amber was my dance of the night. Also loved Balvinder.

Vicky is OTT with the geordiness. I doubt she's like that in private. I don't know any geordies who go on like her.

Does anyone else sometimes find themselves watching the pro’s rather than the celebs? Thought Bal was great tonight as was Vicky albeit annoying. Kinda missed seeing Vito tonight! My guess is Harry and LV in the dance off

Ugh. I really hope Vicky leaves just so I don't have to hear her fucking screaming the whole time. Her dancing is great but no compensation.

I loved Karen & Carlos, although I have no idea what their outfits were supposed to be. Karen gets a lot of stick from misogynistic football fans so I like to see her getting praised.

I make allowances for Vicky's over exuberance because she says she has been diagnosed with ADHD & autism. I think her father was an alcoholic too. She danced well tonight.

I don't normally like couple's choice dances but thought Balvinder and Julian were great. I was interested that Julian had never had to do that type of dance before.

I think Vicki has adopted a "persona". I think her genuine self is probably lovely.
Alex is an actor, she's an older woman among a lot of young athletic and dance types who are very body confident. I think she's doing incredibly well.
Plus - I think she's genuine.

Sky News is reporting that the Sunday results show will be scrapped because of spoilers.

It’s such a hard one to call this week, for the first time ever (bar one occasion when I clicked on it by accident) I’m tempted to look at the spoiler thread.
Read an article online this morning re the likelihood of them ditching the Sunday results show, seeing as the outcome’s always leaked on Saturday night. I like Sunday strictly, but it might be better if they screened whole thing on Saturday.

I think they did the Sunday show because Bruce liked to go home and it was a long show for him.

I've read that as well . Tbh I think that would be a good move . Most of the viewers realise it's not a live show on Sunday and they could have the judges do their reviews of the show , the group dance , the singer , all whilst the voting takes place before the dance off .
I do look up the spoiler ( most weeks ) and then watch the Sunday show with the family without telling them I know as to not spoil for them , but all done and dusted on Saturday would be better .

They used to do the results after Casualty, it was only 30 minutes or so,was done and dusted.

Everything went against it. The costuming was bizarre.

I prefer the Sunday night results show.
I remember when it was all done and dusted on Saturday but I guess there were fewer contestants back then.
Much as I love Strictly, after sometimes 2.5 hours of main show I don't think I'd have it in me to have a quick break and do another 45 minutes.
