Anyone watching? I couldn’t see another thread - apols if I missed one. As usual, I haven’t heard of several of the 'celebs'.

Uh oh. Roman's gut feeling didn’t tell him about the blockade.

I sailed to Honduras and it was a nightmare, supposed to take 3 days and it took 5, and then everywhere was a front for money laundering.

So we’re not going to see how Anita and Bal got to wherever they were staying after they got turfed off the bus….

So will they just take 24 hours off the blocked teams end times?

Think this is really unfair. If you’re going to stop the race stop the race. Don’t pause some not others. How are they going to know about blockades and riots without any information

All the back-stories are starting to come out now.

Backstory week is probably my least favourite.
I do love how they are all on wildly different routes. No real high speed options.

Well Dylan lost his cool there with that girl (not that he had much cool to start with 🤣)

Also Anita has sounded quite stroppy with some people.

Hilarious how his mum was trying to set him up even in this brief stop. Wonder how much she has been trying to do that at home…

How? Have the placings not changed?

I suspect the filming of the book signing was not done in real time, as Dylan and his mum were only something like 4 minutes behind another couple and yet they didn’t mention seeing them (which they would have done).

So I would guess they just all got to the hotel and the placings were calculated once everyone got there, then the end bit recorded separately.

Feel sorry for Dylan and Jackie talking about his brother. Dylan seems sweet and I love Anita and her dad. What a positive man he is.

I think rules may have been bent in terms of budget when something like the blockades happened and that's fair enough. If the security situation is such that you can't move at night and you're stranded, then the crew would have to step in. That's fair enough.

Still not warning to Dylan and his mum. Sad back story but what a pair of wet lettuces.

Wish they would have said that. The show is all about tactics and what would you do
in that situation. So a better explanation would have been good

I always enjoy these programmes and as I rarely know any of the celebrities (Anita was the only name I recognized) it's no different to a non-celebrity version for me. I love seeing the scenery and the local transport, customs and food. I get to see places I'll never be able to visit. Not so bothered about back stories.
