Apart from the Bear nonsense I enjoyed tonight's episode more than any in many months. Kev has breathed new (bonkers) life into the usual Emmerdale misery-fest.

Even the sight of Laurel being turned on by Ray's nit-search was a welcome relief from April/D-man.

I know Kev has a dark side but he is great entertainment and bounces off (so to speak) Liam, Robert, Aaron, even Claudia, really well.

Forgive me if this has been said before, but wouldn’t Celia and Ray have given April up as a bad job by now? Surely she’s more trouble than she’s worth? I know she only thinks she killed someone, and that the robbery early on was a set-up, but come on - who wants a dealer/prostitute she’s been caught doing the former and attacks punters and leaves them for dead doing the latter? I know the idea is they can control her, but to put it bluntly, I can’t see that she’s any great use to them.

I hope there’s proper justice served to Celia and Ray and hopefully Ray gets locked in a cell with that Jez. Death is too good for them.
