I'm just finishing the West Wing. I did like it when it aired but only properly watched the entire series last month.

Absolutely brilliant show.

I started watching Gavin and Stacey in 2018 when I was pregnant! Can't believe I never watched it before.
Also binged the Royle Family in lockdown and Friday night dinner. Both amazing.
I'm going to watch Greys Anatomy next

IcedPurple · 03/11/2025 21:49

Probably most of them! I'm a tad slow on the uptake.

Breaking Bad.
Mad Men.
Call My Agent.
Offspring.
The 'Scandi Noir' phenonemon, other than the last few series of The Bridge.

No doubt there are others that I can't think of right now.

All Creatures Great and Small, I loved the books, and the Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Carol Drinkwater & Peter Davison one so much that I felt the “new” one wouldn’t compare. I’m currently watching series 5 of the new one. It has different story lines and some new characters and I’m loving it.

Also Call The Midwife, but that’s because there’s no way DH & 4 DSs would have watched it on the family TV on a Sunday evening when it first came out.

Breaking Bad. Only watched it this year.

We finally started watching BB about three months after the final series ended. So many of our friends were saying it was one of the best ever series, but I just didn’t want to watch a show about drug dealers.

Ironically it was when Ugly Betty ended and left a vacancy that we finally decided to watch it. I was still undecided after the first episode, but that Ailbuquerque sun drew me in, in the end.

Still think Mad Men was way better…

ktopfwcv · 03/11/2025 23:36

Outlander
Babylon Berlin

I loved Babylon Berlin! We've now given up Sky, so, sadly, won't see the upcoming (last) series. Hope you enjoy it.

OSTMusTisNT · 04/11/2025 00:19

The Walking Dead - I caught up around the Negan era.

Outlander - caught up just as the latest series started.

Law and Order NYC - will take me years to get through it if it stays on Netflix.

Downtown Abbey - was able to binge watch the whole lot a few Xmasses ago😃.

Call the midwife - another total binge but lost interest once they moved into more recent times.

Silent Witness - dip into that from time to time.

Prisoner Cell Block H - I did watch it in the late 80's/early 90's as a kid but I had missed loads and a lot went over my head, then towards the end, our local TV station skipped a few hundred episodes to get it finished quicker so I've never seen it end to end. Been watching it off and on via YouTube for the last few years.

Finally my absolute favourite 'Band of Gold' from 1990's, it was all about prostitutes and murder so not appropriate for teenage me - I was probably busy hanging out in the High Street anyway 😆. I managed to catch a repeat of it years ago and it was fantastic. A very young Eileen Grimshaw from Corrie was in it.

frenchfancy81 · 04/11/2025 01:00

Royle Family!

bellabelly · 04/11/2025 01:07

Breaking Bad! It's soooo good and soooo old.

TeachMeSomething · 04/11/2025 01:11

The Great British Sewing Bee. Only started watching it last week after reading Patrick Grant's (excellent) book: Less: Stop Buying So Much Rubbish

ohnonowwhat1 · 04/11/2025 01:15

I binged Game of Thrones in lockdown after years of thinking it wasn’t my thing. Absolutely loved it.

modern family - another one with a teen who watched it with me and I love it, it’s so funny!

homeland - watched it later then everyone as per usual but really enjoyed it

passthebiscuittins · 04/11/2025 01:22

Gilmore Girls

Mothership4two · 04/11/2025 01:38

The Walking Dead and Friday Night Dinner

MuffinCCHeeler · 04/11/2025 01:39

I’ve just started watching Clarkson’s Farm. I thought I wouldn’t like it years ago because of him but so far I’ve found it an enjoyable and informative watch.

FullOfMomsense · 04/11/2025 01:42

Keeping up with the kardashians is now my guilty pleasure.

Crushed23 · 04/11/2025 02:52

This Life

I literally ACHE for the 90s despite only being a child at the time. I would give anything to have been a young professional in London in the 90s….

Garamousalata · 04/11/2025 04:31

The Sopranos.
