What tv shows did you get into years after they first aired?

Breaking Bad. Only watched it this year.

Me too - then I really loved it, bought the box set and watched the early episodes I'd missed.

Ghosts. Not years and years later, but I never watched it until after the final episode had gone out. I don’t know why! When I did watch it I adored it.

The Wire - we didn’t even start it until about five years after it had finished and then we binge-watched it.

Seinfeld. DP watched it when it was on BBC2 in the 90s but I never watched it until about 2010 when DP and I watched the entire box set. We’ve watched it again since then.

To go back a really long way - Secret Army. I was only a young kid when it was first shown in the early 1980s but DP had vague memories of it and bought the DVDs about 15 years ago. I was instantly hooked despite the ‘stagey’ sets and lighting that you get in loads of dramas from that era. So well-written with really complex characters and really unexpected plots with main characters dying etc.

and very weirdly Goodnight Sweetheart, it’s on That’s TV on a loop and I watch it as a sort of comfort show, I was completely unaware of it back whenever it was first broadcast.

I’ve tried to watch it three times and never got past the first episode, I just can’t take to it.

i thought it looked shit at the time and refused to watch it. Watched the first episode on Saturday and binge watched the first 3 series in a day 😂 it’s really rather lovely.

also yes to Benidorm, I’m stuck on series 8 though, it’s not the same without the Garveys.

It Does, I love a good series to binge watch so I'm kind of glad I caught them late.
I've got a list of series and movie recommendations to make my way through.

I also came on here to say Gilmore girls. Although the last couple of seasons did bore me a bit so I just fast forwarded to the scenes I wanted to watch.

I loved Parenthood, I discovered it at the beginning of this year and completely binged it - I was sad when I got to the end of that
