So pleased to see a few people suggest
Maggie Aderin Pocock, she’s on my list.
She’s a physicist who presents The Sky at Night, for those who don’t know.
I so think the people need to be affable, as the rest of them have to spend an intense week with them.
I like the idea of having plenty of people who aren’t actors or comedians (although of course you need quite a few).
my scientists/mathematicians would be:
Hannah Fry
Maggie Aderin-Pocock
Jim Al-Khalili
Robert Winston
(I have only omitted Brian Cox because I suspect he’d be too busy).
other professionals-turned-presenters I’ve seen suggested here and like are:
a van Tulekin brother
Susie Dent
Lucy Woresley
I’d love to see some chefs:
Delia
Mary Berry
Gordon Ramsey
I think any politicians of any persuasion would ruin it.
On the young end, I would absolutely LOVE to see
Amelia Dimoldenberg
On the national treasure front:
Joanna Lumley
Linford Christie
Sports:
Judi Murray
Nicola Adams
footballer (I just don’t know any)
rugby/cricketer
news/journalists (but I don’t think they’d do it unfortunately):
Lyse Ducet
Clive Myrie
maybe an older journalist like:
Michael Burke
Trevor MacDonald
Moira Stuart
others:
Robert Rinder would be great
Grayson Perry
Floella Benjamin
