Really enjoyed hearing Jonathan ‘superfan’s thoughts on Uncloaked.
I think he was being modest about the Big Dog thing though, as given the starting list, many people would have picked him and Stephen as the biggest (most well known across the board) signings.

But naming Claire as a 'big dog' was both right and fair.

NewAgeNewMe · 30/10/2025 07:12

It’s all in the editing.

I’d love Cat to win or Nick or Celia. I’m completely in love with David’s voice but that is not a reason for him to win.

I don’t want Alan to win though he’s made the show very entertaining.

Kate she’s not done much but kudos to her for getting close to the end on doing nothing much!

Not sure about what I think of Joe. I sound like Kate now.

I’ve probably missed someone.

Kate can't steal from Nick,, unless she becomes a last minute recruited traitor. Where there's only Faithful at the end, they share the prize money. She might go though as there's a bit of suspicion on her.

What's with all the chat with the "big dog" theory being nonsense? Theories are all the Faithful have to gone on in this game. That theory was that either Jonathan Ross or Stephen Fry was Traitor and the other left to be the leader of the Faithful.

Turned out to be a decent theory considering Jonathan was a Traitor and Stephen was seen as leader by the Faithful. Also, sounds like from Jonathan's bit of damage control for his image on Uncloaked he thought he was seen as leader of the Traitors.

Is it Jonathan fans or Joe haters that feel it was a ridiculous theory?

Leader - of the Faithful or the Traitors - is not a role in the game. Some may have a louder voice or step up, but there is (and has been) no 'leadership' displayed by either JR or SF.

Edited to add - in a sports team leadership is all-important, so JM would assume that there were leaders. I didn't see any leadership from either 'big dog' - just a bit of deference towards them. But JM was correct in thinking one of them would be a Traitor.

Moonlightdust · 30/10/2025 07:15

I know people think Joe is quite aggressive, but he has an amazing sense of perception!

Ilovehighlandcows · 30/10/2025 07:20

Gingercar · 29/10/2025 23:45

I think Cat probably deserves to win. She’s played well.

Completely agree!

Ilovehighlandcows · 30/10/2025 07:21

dapsnotplimsolls · 29/10/2025 22:43

Can you imagine the look on Nick's face if he and Kate are the last two and she steals the money??

Faithful's automatically share the prize so that couldn't happen, unless they change the rules! Never put a twist past the producers...

nicelongbath · 30/10/2025 07:21

I think Alan will murder Celia for the same reason he murdered Paloma, that it’s just the most plausible plain-sight murder. She’s a theatre actress and was vocally encouraging people to get behind murdering JR.

So he could say something along the lines of “we did it, goodbye Johnathan, parting is such sweet sorrow - Celia, cheers you orchestrated that!”

And absolutely it has to be Alan because it’s something he might plausibly say. I can’t imagine Cat raising a toast, never mind quoting Shakespeare.

ThePoshUns · 30/10/2025 07:23

Cadenza12 · 30/10/2025 07:07

I thought that last night seemed a bit staged. Suddenly Cat voted for JR. No one suspects her yet she's hardly ever voiced an opinion.

Cat had to vote for Jonathan. Every time she voted for Stephen she spoke about the big dog theory. So if she believed SF was a traitor on that basis, and he was actually a faithful, then on that basis she would have to believe Jonathan to be a traitor. I think she is playing an excellent game.

Ilovehighlandcows · 30/10/2025 07:24

HillOf · 29/10/2025 22:36

I’m liking Alan less and less — he defaults to being a total bitch to everyone. It doesn’t endear him to me. And I think Cat is deeply boring. Has she said or done a single interesting thing in the castle? So I’d now like the faithful to win.

I've said this since the start - there's a nasty trait to him.

I know it's a game, but Cat is an example of being a Traitor without that streak - when she's challenged, she's articulate and measured, whereas Alan just gets bitchy!

I think he's quite a spiteful person.

Nick has suspected Cat a while but has kept it quiet until he told Joe.

TokyoSushi · 30/10/2025 07:25

Checking in but trying not to look at the thread as still need to catch up from last night!

PollyDarton1 · 30/10/2025 07:31

I think in order for the murder in plain sight not to be too obvious (which it would be if Alan was to say it to one person) he needs to orchestrate a situation where he is toasting everyone - say to celebrate getting a Traitor out - and then either among the toasting or at the end, come out with the phrase. There is nothing stopping him toasting all the celebs in a celebration, but the clincher is the phrase. In my opinion this would work as if someone raised it he could say ‘well I toasted everyone’

SproutingBroc · 30/10/2025 07:41

I think if Alan was going all out to win, he could reasonably say to Cat 'it's your turn'. But as they say on TRIE, he understands that he is there to provide entertainment, and if he sulkily made Cat do it it would be rubbish.

Loved Jonathan's exit, but then I loved him all the way through.

ThePoshUns · 30/10/2025 07:50

Yes all credit to Jonathan he played well and was gracious. His exit speech was great.

itsraining2024 · 30/10/2025 07:54

Alan is a perfect match for Joe. I really don’t like Joe since the past few weeks. He seems like a bully.

ThatCyanCat · 30/10/2025 07:55

ShowDownTime · 29/10/2025 23:59

If Alan was smart he would make Cat do the murder. She’s shown she’ll betray him as soon as she has to. He doesn’t owe her anything and doing it himself - again - is risky.

If he's worried she'll betray him then he should keep her onside, or betray her himself.

Has she ever received any round table votes?

marshmallowmix · 30/10/2025 07:57

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 29/10/2025 23:45

I agree. I can't stand cat.

Yep agree can’t stand Cat either.

Mimosa3andmore · 30/10/2025 07:57

Place marking as I couldn't watch live last night and need to catch up with both threads!

Brits really aren’t comfortable with directness, are they? Ruth got exactly the same comments, only wasn’t accused of ,bullying’ because of the difference in status between her and JR. Whereas people seem mostly fine with Alan’s default bitchiness.

itsraining2024 · 30/10/2025 07:59

Cat will betray Alan. She didn’t deflect from people accusing Jonathan all these weeks. I know it’s a game but felt like she sold out.

Edited

But Joe wasn't saying there was an actual offical role they were put in. 🤣 Just that due to their perceived status and preconceptions others had about them, the two of them they would listened to and people would be influenced by them.

Joe's theory was when choosing the traitors one of them would be chosen and the other left a faithful. Meaning there would be two people in both groups who the others listen to and ideas they tend to follow.

Which is exactly what happened. After all, Stephen chosen to be "leader of the pack" and Jonathan many times managing to push the vote off himself at the round table

This is the most (only?!) plausible speculation I've read on here the entire series! I look forward to seeing if you're right.

She did sell out I agree, she didn’t try and stay faithful to the Traitors.

She raised Jonathan’s name last night before the vote and if she hadn’t he may have stayed…they were supposed to club together to the end.

Alan did the murder in plain sight already she should’ve done it he’s at risk doing it …

She’s added the least in terms of any entertainment not a fan at all.

FightingFish · 30/10/2025 08:06

It’s also plausible that he could say it to Kate.

I’ve no issue at all with her turning on a fellow-traitor (it’s the nature of the game, isn’t it?), but I agree she’s been by far the least entertaining booking from the POV of being good TV.
