So the final will probably be Lewis, Amber and one other.

Posted the same at exactly the same time 😄.

That album is still the definitive version - Julie Covington, Colm Wilkinson and Barbara Dickson. I don’t think any of the other casts matched that.

It's a shame Stefan went, I'd prefer a final with at least 2 non-ringers.

Not if Lewis and Amber end up in a dance off together.

Alex I reckon

Alex I reckon

I hope so

JamMakingWannaBe · 26/10/2025 20:31

I thought Amber looked nervous/hesitant in the DO.
Gutted Jimmy has gone - just as he was getting better.

CrushingOnRubies · 26/10/2025 20:32

I don’t think Amber will make the final. If she’s in the Do she’s not popular with the public and all it takes is a slip up in her do dance and she’s screwed

all it takes is a split vote from the judges and the deciding judge to vote for the other couple

JamMakingWannaBe · 26/10/2025 20:33

Final will be George, Alex and one other. Could even be LaVoix.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 26/10/2025 20:34

I didn’t know Lewis had done such a lot. I assumed it was more your basic stage school stuff, like lots of the actors have. Of course, he’s still young enough to remember it!

Starandflowers · 26/10/2025 20:34

cordelia16 · 26/10/2025 20:07

And it's amazing that these same ppl don't seem to have a problem with Lewis, who is a better ballroom and Latin dancer and just as experienced (if not more so).

It’s the same every year - female ringers get absolute vitriol thrown at them when all they have done is agreed to be on a show, in other words accepted a job that was offered to them by the producers of the show

Male ringers are seen as great and very little is said about them. Danny Mac is regularly talked about as being one of the best contestants the show has had

No, he's a proper dancer. You can tell.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 26/10/2025 20:36

It’s hard for Amber, realising that people can’t get behind her. That Jimmy, who I’m sure she liked, is going home because she has had loads of dance experience already. It must feel a bit gutting when it’s that obvious. You can kid yourself when it’s just the leaderboard. Not when it’s a dance off.

Agree. I feel sorry for Amber, called in to replace a non-ringer. It’s lose lose

I was very anti Layton. And I suppose Amber is a female Layton.

By anti, I mean- I’m sure he’s a lovely chap but he’s a pro and shouldn’t be in a beginners dance contest,

Yes, I agree. I thought he was lovely and enjoyed his dances, but never voted for him.

Holluschickie · 26/10/2025 20:40

I don't mind a ringer and regularly vote for them but I think Amber's costumes and routines haven't done her any favours. Nikita's choreo is not as good as Katya
's.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 26/10/2025 20:52

I don't think Amber is anything like Layton, who was very, "Look at me, I'm amazing!" in the way he came across. Amber is nothing like that.

Leighton and other male ringers have also had the same reaction but I suspect it depends on whether people know they are ringers (not that I’m thinking Tom Chambers).

I won’t vote for Amber or Lewis because ringers but of the two of them Lewis is entertaining and engaging to watch as was Leighton. I can see Amber’s experience but something is missing on the entertaining/engaging side.

I wouldn’t mind one ringer in the show as a pacemaker but two, especially when they result in good improvers losing out in the DO to a ringer who isn’t engaging the public does annoy me.

If it's George and Alex the third will almost certainly be Lewis or Amber

I think Lewis is too popular for that.

Starandflowers · 26/10/2025 21:17

Interesting that the two ringers this year were replacements for other contestants.

If it’s to be fair to those who believe this to be a dance contest (which to me it’s not, it’s an entertainment show) then there should have been no replacements for Dani and the other guy who dropped out and just kept it with the original line up. An inexperienced dancer wouldn’t have been able to catch up last minute, which would have put them at a disadvantage and likely prompted a whole different conversation if they were popular

As I said in another post some of the comments that are made to people who have only signed up to do a job that entertains people on a Saturday night are pretty ridiculous and says more about the public than the ringers
