We really need to have something good happen on the show. Coming up with thread titles is getting harder and harder and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS HAPPENING.

Really feel for Maeve. She seems like a sweet person behind the massive lashes, huge hoops and occasional gobby outburst. I think those things are all just to hide her insecurities. I'd like her to stay and find a romance with one of the others but not sure who. Think she needs someone fun and witty and I'm not sure any of them in there are that (other than the lovely Davide & Keye)

Also, it's interesting looking at JRs insta post last night apologising for her behaviour... Obviously realised her attention seeking has attracted the wrong sort of attention!

I’m disappointed that no one brought up JR miming using a buzzy bullet while she said she locked Div out of the room.

She’s absolutely daft though as he basically called the group cunts, but it was mainly aimed at her. I guess she liked that outburst!

I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but yeah he does give off racist vibes! We don’t know for sure though tbf 😂 and who knows even if he is, he may make an exception for her as she’s gorgeous and somewhat similar to him. I have a sinking feeling she may be the kind of woman that would enjoy being racially degraded as part of sex play. Yeah it’s a thing.

I get the vibe (excuse the pun) that anything goes with JR as long as it's "different" and she can get a story out of it. It's sad as I do think it all stems from being adopted and needing to be seen as interesting and wanted. Sadly I can't excuse her behaviour though and she must have known she was like this before going on national TV, just as Dean must have known he doesn't have a personality when you take away the rapping.

It'll be interesting to see if Joe comes back or if Ash is forced into spilling beans by the experts, which is what it looks like, and how the group will take that. It's interesting to see how the men rallied, finally, around Divvy and told him the truth after Keye's outburst, but didn't stand up to Steven. They're slow to stand up for each other but it's clearly much easier against a woman. I think the men vs women aspect might get played up with the Ash/Joe and Grace/Maeve situation.

I love that Keye is one of those calling JR out - as she has NO comeback to him.

She can't accuse him of fancying her and thus wanting to destroy her relationship as he is gay. He is black too, so no difference there and she can't say "well his relationship is rubbish that is why he is focusing on meeeeeeeee" as him and Davide are getting on great.

Exactly! I’m not justifying J-R behaviour, she’s her own set of issues lol but she is being targeted (by some) for various reasons while others are staying quiet about certain others should also speak against. The situation is nuanced. As the saying goes “two things can be true”. .

Keye is mixed race, raised by a white mother. Not black. And being a mixed race or even black male wouldn’t preclude him being prejudiced. Heard of internalised misogyny? There also a thing called internalised racism and misogynoir.

Btw to be clear I am NOT accusing Keye of being racist and I don’t think JR is saying that either.

But I am just picking you up on the idea that they are “the same” racially speaking. They’re not.

I think if anything she has to tread carefully with Keye because he’s great with words, very intelligent and also he’s the partner of the closest friend she has in there. She knows when push comes to shove Davide will (rightly so) choose Keye over her.

I don't think so. She has no sense of humour and would be critical and arsey with everyone. Maybe she is better away from the cameras, but she is an energy drain at the moment.

Isn’t it funny how we all see things differently? I think she could have a sharp dry humour with a different partner.
Actually, maybe she could try the ‘bantz’ and teasing him when he spouts some of his jokes or misogynistic stuff and then he would hear what she is saying? I know that’s how I have to handle my dad when he comes out with some of his dated rubbish and to be fair to my dad he takes it on board (and agrees) a lot more than me lecturing him

@IAmKerplunk that could work. Although there is the risk that he thinks she has finally come around to his way of thinking. His to camera bits were basically him saying he hadn't expected her to stick to her guns and he isn't willing to "change that bit" of himself, which is still the same as it was let's face it, the only bit that has changed is he is steering away from obvious terms like Barbie and Washerwoman or whatever he said at the start. If she joined in and did bantz badminton he'd probably think she was flirting. She is mostly confused about whether he wants her to call it out or laugh it off, because he seems to be suggesting he's happy for her do both but actually doesn't like either - he simply doesn't want her to notice it in the first place. She'd rather he didn't make the comments in the first place, but it is so deeply ingrained in his psyche that's never going to change.

He can't see he is showing that even if they agreed to call the argument evens at the time and resolved it, him saying she was being a dick the next day shows he hadn't actually let it go and still thinks it was all her fault. I feel it's all going to come apart on the sofa tonight. They are very poorly matched.

Joe should just be honest. He’s grieving and doesn’t have the appetite for frivolous dates and arguments in front of cameras. It’s very understandable

I suppose a lot of it is down to the people we think we would get on with in person. To me she never shows a sense of humour or lighthearted side, whether she is with Ash or anyone else. She doesn't seem that perceptive or self aware either.

Yes JR was adopted. I had the same thing and someone mentioned she was raised in SA then adopted in NZ. It is indeed an odd mix!

I was actually going to say kiwi too but thought I’m adding too many countries now 😂
