But why would explicitly he tell the wife not to answer the phone. She would only have to chat and exchange pleasantries with Patrick if he called. All very odd.

I think there are things Sophie would like to tell Patrick that Antnee doesn’t want known. He is so dull it can’t be very exciting can it!

I haven't watched this weeks yet but could Antnee have discovered he has a long lost half brother Isaac ( the one who was the teacher ) and is now raging that he missed out . Could be talking to Sherree

Though being Eastenders , Paul being dead isn't the obstacle you;d imagine it to be . Only if he;s Dead Dead ,

Probably the most outlandish thing Antnee does is cut his toenails in the bath and not sluice the clippings down the plughole

I just wanted to muse on a few recurring themes in E20. First, all the older mothers, going back to Pauline, then Denise and Sharon who were both 50 I think, now Nicola is pregnant, do you think she will have this baby?
Also the amount of characters who have been held in captivity, i think Mel (although I didn't watch EE back in the 90's) I've seen old footage of her being held hostage, more recently Bianca and now poor Harry. Then all the people who have come back from the dead, Kathy the Hypocrite, who calls so many others rotten, Kat, Shirley who had an altercation with horrible Karl, Vincent's mum who was thrown or fell down cellar steps, disappeared, then turned up some weeks later. Have I missed anyone out in these observations? All this in one small residential Square, but it's soap, anything can happen !

Just wanted to add, I suddenly think Jumpers is gorgeous after Thursday's episode.

Blues, Denise had a bad time of it with her ex Lucas and was tied up somewhere. The women on EE have a bad time of it! Your not wrong

No, he's telling the person not to tell Patrick. So it is something that person knows (about Antnee presumably) that Patrick doesn't know. Possibly about his toenails 😆

Blues yes lots of kidnapping action, if only CCTV existed in Walford like the rest of London! I don't think Nicola's baby will go to term, I can't see any storylines out of that.

Was Kathy kidnapped by her crazy ex, Gavin?

I also think something will happen to Nicola's baby because I can't think where this plot is going. Unless she is going to hand it over to Eve & Suki (she has never interacted with them but nothing on EE makes sense so..). Suki told Norma that it's almost certain they wouldn't be given a new born baby which probably means that's exactly what WILL happen. And thinking of older mothers, surely Suki is in her 50s as her oldest child was mid-30s. I'm in my 40s with 2 DC and the thought of starting again with a baby makes me feel like weeping!

My parents had me when they were 40 and struggled a bit , Suki is much older , although she did say they won’t be given a baby to adopt, but it’s still a huge responsibility isn’t it whatever age it is. They don’t have much space in that house as it is either.
It seems a ridiculous storyline as it is , especially as Eve didn’t want children in the first place!

Yes it's all ridiculous. Suki is 58!

I never think of her as that old as Bal is considerably younger.

Balvinder is 46 irl.
It is a bit silly when they cast actors a whole decade or more ( in this case) older than their years , but it’s done to fit in with children who are in their 20s or 30s so the dates all match up I suppose. Or, like Linda, had her eldest at 16 or something like that!

Kathy was another one held hostage once by her ex ( Gavin) after resurrecting from the EE dead stage of life.
I like Kathy though even if she can be a judgy one at times.

They made a huge fuss about Kathy and Harvey being in love and now they are barely on screen together!

I think Kathy is back next week from what I remember of the spoilers.

The Harvey actor had to have surgery, so that’s why his been away and on and off apparently.

It’s hard to believe two people with the chequered histories Suki and Eve have would ever be approved to look after a child. Laying aside Eve’s criminal record and Suki’s shockingly bad parenting, Social Services would have to carry out checks on every adult in the house and Ravi has been arrested multiple times, most recently for drug dealing and human trafficking. They could never send a child to live in that house because there is always a risk his former associates will visit seeking revenge against his family.

Yes Ravi is likely to get a firebomb through the letterbox any day now. Lovely environment for an already traumatised child!

It’s actually quite odd that Suki hasn’t even mentioned the fact a van load of police raided her home to arrest Ravi. She doesn’t seem remotely concerned that all this is going on whilst she’s tying to become a foster parent. I didn’t realise the character is 58!

Re the women of EE having a hard time being held hostage, thankyou @the80sweregreat & @NowNumber5 I didn't know Denise and Dawn were also held hostage, goodness knows how many more scriptwriters are going to milk the same theme!

Today’s one had a lot going on. Poor Kojo. He just wants his flat back .
The scenes with Elaine , Honey and Jean were just a bit eye roll for me though.

I thought the Elaine + ladies day out was a bit silly. All three of them looked completely out of place in what seemed to be some kind of corporate event with young city types so it was extremely unrealistic that they were able to gain access and sit drinking all afternoon.

Looks like Junior will be packing the usual single duffle bag and heading off to Dubai then. I really think his character had potential and it's a shame he was wasted on the one silly affair storyline with Cindy.

Of course Oakie just happened to be in the flat when Kojo went there🙄

JackandJack as Ravi's handler is really going to work out well isn't it. He will probably get word to the invisible higher up gangster that Ravi is an informant in order to get him killed.

I’ll be glad to see the back of Junior, to be honest. I have never liked him.

And I agree; what a stupid mini stiryline with the three women all dolled up in sequins blagging a table at an exclusive event! Ffs. And they were looking for Charlie! Even more ffs! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

I hope that Ravi isn’t killed off. Oakie is a decent actor, but he is a ‘baddie ‘ and they are usually the ones to be disposable. I suppose that Ravi will tell Jack and Jack to lay off him and report him over Dolan if he starts , they have dirt on each other ,but Ravi may have the upper hand ? Although it’s not an ideal situation and Teddy should never have put that camera in his flat in the first place.
