And who will be the first to be banished from the table?

It's going to be Ruth. The woman that spoke the truth.

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 21:18

Ruth was ruthless with JR then!

She was amazing, she proper went for the jugular there

placemats · 15/10/2025 22:47

Anyway JR gave it away on Social media. Bigmouth

I’m still laughing at
‘Don’t piss in my ear and tell me it’s raining’ !

The Irish have the best sayings! My mum used to say of people- "ah, you're not as green as you're cabbage looking". Meaning they were cleverer than they first appeared! 😂

littlbrowndog · 15/10/2025 22:47

EdithBond · 15/10/2025 22:44

Little do they know they’re all being played by a Big Cat 😉

Exactly

EdithBond · 15/10/2025 22:49

KittyHigham · 15/10/2025 22:41

I agree with everything you said @Rentin.
Ruth took against JR simply on the basis of this supposed alliance. It was a throwaway comment before they even got to the castle. I can't see why people think she's so clever when her basis for having a ho at JR is so flawed. The fact that he is in fact a traitor is coincidence.
I'd oive to see a double bluff killing. I'd not be bothered if it backfired on JR but it could be interesting to watch.

Edited

Think I’d see it as pretty treacherous. It doesn’t matter that they hadn’t picked the traitors yet. Niko and Ruth were saying they felt vulnerable as they’re young. And Jonathan (voluntarily) assured them he had their back. Then voted for Niko at the v first banishment. Ruth probably felt safer with Jonathan saying that and now knows he can’t be trusted.

TraitorsFan · 15/10/2025 22:54

I don’t think having a degree, even a doctorate, from Oxford or Cambridge makes you that smart in general - and I know many of them, because of where I live and work. I think it makes you very good at certain things, but they may not be any use on Traitors.

In particular, in my opinion, Stephen is good at the Arts, particularly literature, and we are impressed because he knows so much more about those things than most people do but they do know something. We don’t expect to know much about science beyond what we learned at school so it doesn’t come up in general conversation, and one scientist may not know much about a completely different branch of science. Scientists go to the theatre or cinema, read novels and watch plays on TV far more than Arts people listen to science topics, apart from on Radio 4.

This is probably a minority opinion, though.

xsquared · 15/10/2025 22:57

It's Jonathan denying having said it, and Clare also agreeing with Ruth that he did mention the alliance, that is making him look guilty though, so I do think she's got conviction in her theory now.

She is not the only one who suspects Jonathan. JR let slip with Joe last week, so he is on Joe's radar. Joe went for Tameka though even though he gave the spiel about his Big Dog theory.

I love how they're all so, well, flabbergasted about it being Cat. She's playing it very well.

I fear it’s Ruth and they’ll go for the double-bluff for the hell of it.

As Jaz discovered, if you correctly traitor-hunt at the roundtable it can protect you from murder. But the slebs aren’t playing for the cash, so more likely to choose the thrill of risky game-play.

What did he give away? The person who is getting murdered in tomorrows episode?

‘Don’t piss in my ear and tell me it’s raining’ !

I haven’t heard anyone say that in about 20 years. It makes warm to her despite her lipstick, which I’m not enjoying. Excellent leopard skin blouse, though. And rightness, obviously. Go, Ruth!

Just noticed the thread title about Mark looking good in a kilt. YES. VERY.

Also enjoying David Olusoga - v attractive man

Yes. Please don’t kill the thinking woman’s eye candy!

We saw her start to rinse it. I suppose she could have kept washing the shield until there were no black bits left in the crevices, and dried it on somebody’s dry clothing,

I suspect that Props just handed them some clean ones.😁

In fairness we've all seen much worse logic for picking out potential traitors, it's not illogical to think that if Jonathan was a faithful he would be keen to keep that original alliance going to help get them all through the first few votes and wonder if the reason he hasn't is because he has a new alliance with his traitor buddies.

Ah, Jaz-atha Christie, so near yet so far!

RubieChewsDay · 15/10/2025 23:10

I agree with others that I don't think David has had enough screen time to be murdered just yet, I think it's between Ruth & Charlotte, probably Ruth although I do keep changing my mind.

Indeed. Some of the ‘logic’ is quite demented? Who was it who voted for Celia on the grounds that she came into the bar ‘very confidently’ after the traitor-picking. I mean, she’s a grande dame of British acting in her 70s, used to the limelight — why wouldn’t she be confident?

If I were trying to throw suspicion on her, I’d do it on the basis of the Charming Fart and her killer comic timing in owning it. I’d say it was bloody good acting and gave her immediate national treasure status, thereby disarming suspicion.

crumpet · 15/10/2025 23:15

I don’t recall Jonathan saying that the people in the car should all be in an alliance together. I thought it was a more general comment that people in the game should start to make alliances. He probably said “we” meaning everyone not just Ruth and the people in the car. That’s how I took it, anyway

TraitorsFan · 15/10/2025 23:19

Until the Round Table we hadn’t seen much of Charlotte tonight. I thought she was going to be safe, but perhaps not now.

And, as they’ve already said in Traitors Tower, Charlotte’s an incorrect traitor-hunter and that can be used to set her up for banishment on the basis she’s misdirecting.

BungledBundle · 15/10/2025 23:21

Clare Balding is whip-smart and good at reading people. I like Cat and Celia too. Stephen Fry is so incredibly pleased with himself it's irritating.

Glad to come here and see the vipers saw through the sexist "big dog" theory. I don't like rugby Joe much but do like after life Joe. Agree David O v handsome.

Never seen a Traitors series before but think it could be quite addictive!

CaveMum · 15/10/2025 23:32

@BungledBundle its very addictive! But don’t worry you’ve got 3 other UK series to binge watch when this is done! Not to mention tin the US/AUS/NZ ones!

So, how long he lasts at the Castle, then?
