I like Cynthia Erivo A LOT, but I completely agree with this comment.
This is an interesting stage in the competition, which isn’t like later ones. There were two contestants on Saturday who are not very good. You can’t vote people off, so I gave several of my votes to the one I wanted to stay.
If lots of voters do that, then the celebrities in the middle are at risk, because the voters don’t realise they are at risk. The only consolation would be that they are more likely to survive the dance-off if one of the weakest dancers is there, too. Can anyone remember past shows when this didn’t happen?
So, I need to reconsider my tactical voting to take more account of the judges’ scores.
(I do realise that my votes are lost among millions of others, but it’s nice to think I might have some influence. Like in political elections where very, very, very occasionally someone wins by not many votes.)
