It did feel like the Cynthia Erivo Show! I'm sure she gave them useful advice but it meant the judging did go on forever. Her nails are just awful. I don't enjoy the theme weeks anyway, it's all too overblown

Hated every single thing about Ross's paso. Even Jowita looked horrendous. Out tonight please

Thought Shirley was so harsh on Balvinder. Give her useful criticism by all means, but it was a beautiful dance and she banged on unfairly and quite unpleasantly about her footwork. She lets other contestants away with murder

Lewis and Katya were fabulous but it was not a 10! You're ridiculous Motsi 🙄

Loved Alex's quickstep - so smooth and elegant

Agree that Couples Choice is awful and needs to go. Craig spot on about the problems with synchronicity in George's dance

I like Cynthia Erivo A LOT, but I completely agree with this comment.

This is an interesting stage in the competition, which isn’t like later ones. There were two contestants on Saturday who are not very good. You can’t vote people off, so I gave several of my votes to the one I wanted to stay.

If lots of voters do that, then the celebrities in the middle are at risk, because the voters don’t realise they are at risk. The only consolation would be that they are more likely to survive the dance-off if one of the weakest dancers is there, too. Can anyone remember past shows when this didn’t happen?

So, I need to reconsider my tactical voting to take more account of the judges’ scores.

(I do realise that my votes are lost among millions of others, but it’s nice to think I might have some influence. Like in political elections where very, very, very occasionally someone wins by not many votes.)

Cynthia was annoying .
She is a hugely talented lady with a fantastic voice but a bit of humility would have been nice
She took too much credit for some of the dances.
You would have thought that she was the second coming the way some of the contestants behaved

Hello all. I enjoyed movie week but not many routines I'd watch twice.
And I don't mind the show being bookended by ringers but it's not why I watch Strictly.
I liked Alex's characterisation and thought Vicky looked lovely in her blonde wig.
Hated the K-pop number but I am not the demographic. Harry's bod was a decent distraction (!) and I liked the old school style of Bal's routine. Am still at the stage of fast forwarding on iPlayer as it has been long and I have been busy this month.
No longer know who I am rooting for tbh, have no firm favourite yet but I was taken with Jimmy. Thought he did very well last night.
Under and overmarking again. Lewis was over marked for me as was Ellie, as both needed reining in/more finesse. Bal and Vicky were undermarked by Shirley and Craig respectively.
Think Carlos could have done more with Karen's routine but, like Chandler Bing, Miss Congeniality is my favourite film ever so I'd have hoped for the Don't mess with me quote and Karen having a donut or two confiscated pre cha cha!!

Ready and waiting. As far as threads go, I’m easy. It makes sense to have a new thread for each week, but if there’s plenty of room on the first thread no need for a new one just for the results show.

I think it makes sense to have a new thread weekly. Makes it easier to find and follow if you do miss watching live and catching up

Different to others, I really enjoyed the mentor judge. Great to add more expertise.

I think the judges comments are so much more dance focussed this year, more technical, dance language used to explain and feedback.

It really did, I dont think I've ever wished Strictly would get to the end quite so much! They could easily have had just 4 of the 5 of them taking it in turns to comment on each dance without losing anything.

Harry seems to have an extra bit of costume...
