There's something about a man in tuxedo trousers, I was quite taken by Jimmy tonight.

I mean, Cynthia seems nice and everything but far too dull and earnest for a Saturday night light entertainment show. Stick one of the Roly Polys or Peter Gordeno on the judging panel and give us a bit of fun. (Or, you know, if they were still alive.)

Is this the place to confess to my crush on Virgil Tracy? So quiet and manly and artistic. Jowita really committed to the eyebrows. Ross put me in mind of Andy Stewart doing some kind of topical (for 1966) Thunderbirds sketch on The White Heather Club. I actually enjoyed it.

I swear that Barbie box was recycled from Jamelia and Tristan's Blackpool quickstep. Never forget, never forgive.

I love Jimmy. Lauren is a top pro.

Using Strictly for Wicked cross-promotion felt a bit weird, as did turning Movie Week into A Tribute to Cynthia Erivo Week. It got a bit much.

I thought she looked like she ran out of puff after that but and her head went down a bit.

But I enjoyed it with her personality!

I think she will get lots of sympathy votes this week cos she looked upset at the comments.

Vicki was more animated and brighter jumping on Kai for the 7’s than in the whole dance before.

I agree with Motsi that it was much more controlled than week one. But still so much fun. It really made me smile, the sass! There was a decent amount of content and she looked like she loved it!

I really enjoyed Alex and Johannes dance. The acting was of course amazing but I thought she had the elegance and effortlessness to make it look cool.

I didn’t think it was worth all 8’s. Several dances tonight felt better to me.

He sure did. A lot of spinning for me, but was really good. I bet Katya is just LOVING having someone decent to dance with.

Just started watching on catch up, not read all the comments yet but wanted to say I am not a fan of movie week or any of the theme weeks, to be honest.

Know they have to mix up a bit but the silly costumes don’t do it for me at all, and is it not kind of early this year too, we’ve only had one elimination.

She’s the best pro at choreography for sure. Followed by Johannes. Also she had the Catherine Zeta Jones look down pat. Sexy AF!

I wondered if Shirley’s hair and makeup were meant to be 30s or 40s, but as I couldn’t decide which I thought I was wrong.

If she had ‘had work done’ - and why shouldn’t she - wouldn’t we have noticed in previous weeks? I do think she looks different but want to put that down to the unusual eye makeup.

Yes I always have to pause it to read down. Far too fast. Harry was def overmarked.

George Alex and Jimmy were all better technically than Harry for me, much as I enjoy his smile and enthusiasm.

Agree, I always vote for those I like lower down the board in the first few weeks, when it would be almost impossible for anyone in the top 5 to be in the dance off.

I thought Vicky was poor and don’t get the sympathy votes. Jimmy was overmarked.

I think Movie Week is always week 3 isn’t it? Or has been for quite a few years anyway.

I agree it's pointless voting for the ones who do well on the judge's marks at this stage, given that they're highly unlikely to be in the dance-off and they will always get saved even if they do. I tend to go for the ones I like who are in a bit of danger in the middle/lower half of the leaderboard, like Balvinder this week.

That’s what I thought. Is it just make up? One of those cut crease thingies (which I can’t do)

or is it just one of those plastic sticky eye lift things that give those with hoods an eyelid?
