This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. Please join us and share your thoughts if you have ever been a fan of Downton Abbey. We are currently on series five, episode eight.

Cora walks in on Mrs Hughes, Anna and Mrs Patmore trying on her clothes. I suppose I would be angry too if I hadn't had advance warning.

Robert is very pleased about Edith's success.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:36

Yes, most people would be annoyed to find their employees rifling through their belongings.

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:37

It is Mary's fault after all, so she should sort it out.

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:40

Well, it's a very nice coat. Not sure I'd like to be Miss Baxter sitting up until all hours making alterations, but it was a kind gesture from Cora.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:41

Now it is me with techie problems. My phone not letting me post. Sorted now I think

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:41

Mrs Hughes looks quite excited. I had to rush to the hair dressers for 8.30 on my wedding day, no breakfast in bed for me.

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:42

Well, Mrs Hughes looks very smart.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:43

All very calm and dignified. They are married

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:44

Dr Clarkson is moving to the other side.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:44

Isobel apologises to Dr Carlson and now he agrees with her and Cora

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:45

I bet the food was very good, if Mrs Patmore made it all with Daisy.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:45

Oh that is quite spread for the wedding breakfast

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:46

Oh Mr Bates very perceptive

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:47

Nice words from Carson.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:47

Oh zi say Mr Carson how gracious and look here are Tom and Sybie

Rhubarb01 · 12/11/2025 21:47

Here's Tom and Sybbie back from America....hooray...he is home for good.

Ilovelblue · 12/11/2025 21:49

Oh heck, the cat which sits on my laptop was rather ill... hence my lack of posts! Fortunately he wasn't ill ON the laptop.

Sweet, George, Marigold and Sybbie...definitely, Downton the Next Generation. That's the new series one day, when Julian Fellowes gets fed up with writing The Gilded Age - which is also very good and about to film it's 4th series.

Magi84 · 12/11/2025 21:50

All nice and tidily sorted especially good to have Tom back in the fold.

Oh, dear. Yes. Good it wasn't on the lap top. I have a dog who regularly does unmentionables ...he is getting pretty old, so not sure if it's attention , laziness or senility that is to blame.

Maybe we ought to convince him to write it, Rhu. It's something that was only briefly touched on in the most recent film.

My cat is nearly 17 and I wonder the same to be honest.

Well, that went a lot better than last week despite a few techy issues. I think I missed quite a lot last week because of all the interruptions. I will stick with the same again next week.
