Why is Robert just not telling Aaron the truth??

I think it’s just too traumatic for him to deal with. He thought he had left all that behind him and then Kev got released.

I loved that he was wandering around barefoot with Aaron which shows how at ease he is with him (even though I hate feet). When he’s with Kev he’s on edge all the time and I don’t think it’s just because Aaron doesn’t know the truth.
