Although I've been critical of April in the past, I actually think she was great in last night's episode. I loved the cutting between her and Dawn. I thought the casting of the creep in the hotel was perfect because it showed how young and vulnerable April is and her realisation that Ray had sent her to have sex was heartbreaking.

DS2 was watching with me last night and when April took a swig of neat vodka he said it looked so unrealistic because there was no way she could do that in reality without grimacing and he also thought she was way younger than 17.

Did we ever find out who the father of April's baby was?

Probably another in the long line of Emmerdale's one time sex pregnancies.

I thought she was good last night too. Funny how her younger sister in Corrie looks older than her!

I wouldn't say her acting was particularly good in that episode but I thought it was very effective seeing her look like a painted up child sitting nervously on the bed while a disgusting fat old man thought he was going to have sex with her.

I find April always looks as if her eyes are half closed and sounds like her nose is blocked up.
