You lot need to stop talking so much. I am 3 pints of gin in, it's hard work with everyone wanting to be in my business 😉

I'm starting to think they're giving crap advice to boost the ratings 😔

Yes, it feels like that - all the missed opportunities with Cabbage Bez on communication, instead telling Anita to just keep trying.

Crystal showed what we need the other day - cut to the chase, tell the truth and advise. It's far more interesting to watch someone realise their old behaviours and feel safe to try new ones than to see the experts being nasty and making people cry just for ratings. A lot of women do take psychology and a lot will be screaming at the TV watching so many basic abuses happen without any support.

Yes no being about to talk about what dean is dong to his body or health

Is a reality show really the place to get into that, though?

Donttellempike · 06/10/2025 16:22

Lipglosser · 06/10/2025 14:48

They missed such an opportunity to talk about consent and sexual coercion

Extremely disappointing

They are actually telling Sarah she must endure it.

And apparently it’s all fine in Dean land that once married a woman has no bodily autonomy ( which is not the case in a REAL marriage, let alone a pantomime one )

As a matter of interest for anyone who doesn’t know, rape in marriage was only criminalized in 1991in the UK. We seem to be hurtling backwards with drek on TV like this being touted as entertainment.

RickertyRocker · 06/10/2025 17:48

Ashley is a walking red flag. I cannot believe the feedback Sarah is getting in comparison.

I cannot believe they have not hauled Ashley over the coals. He got frustrated? He doesn't deserve anything, I've got the ick, never mind Grace.

He say he would let Grace lead the conversation, then interrupted every single time. I HEARD it, he did say "she's cannot do it, he doesn't do it and can never touch her".

Based on what HE has repeated, Ashley WAS telling Sarah what to do and wear. He did say her nails were overgrown in the earlier interview. This was all after Grace has explicitly told him not to about her appearance.

This caveman will never change. It's only been two weeks and it is totally inappropriate to force intimacy on anyone. At least they BOTH have to give five affirmations to partner. Sarah deserves so much better.

CatamaranViper · 06/10/2025 18:30

I cannot stand Dean. He is exactly the type of man I would run from.
Putting aside his looks, he's just nasty. He wants a wife, just any wife will do. He doesn't give a shit about Sarah. He just wants a sex robot who'll praise him. Major incel vibes.
Poor Sarah being forced to be touchy feely with him, no wonder she has the ick. I have the ick watching it. She doesn't want to touch him let alone bang him. I bet if/when she finally does she'll cry herself to sleep after and never tell anyone because apparently she's awful for not fancying him.

Sarah, if you do see this, I'm totally on your side here. You were stitched up. But why the hell did you write stay?

jay55 · 06/10/2025 18:44

Just catching up. I find Ashley really creepy and very similar to Dean, they both seem to have a fetish for making women beg for forgiveness.

RickertyRocker · 06/10/2025 18:48

Steven should have been kicked off. Nellie is not safe, good for her for sticking up for herself so well.

Dean is filming an audition. Sarah is collateral damage to that.

Ashley is a sexists caveman, huge ICK. The experts should have taken the time to talk about consent and boundaries.

Team Grace, Sarah and Nellie.

A lot of the men have brought all of the red flags.

Sarah had to write stay because she knew Dean would and if she writes leave she's stuck with him AND an even bigger sulk to deal with.

I really don’t get this.

The nail thing is a total non-issue. It’s something you might get mildly annoyed at being pointed out. You then say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to getting them done.

Ashely explained the dress thing perfectly fine. If she wanted to wear trousers then just… wear trousers? What’s the big deal?

Grace seems to nitpick every single thing and it’s bloody tiresome just watching it.

With the sex thing, if he was being creepy/coercive etc, she would have undoubtedly spelled it out to everyone. She’s certainly called out a lot less.

It sounds like mismatched expectations and probably frustration from his side that intimacy has been abruptly cut short. I’m this scenario, neither is to blame.

Lipglosser · 06/10/2025 12:09

What he heck, have I just watched, Steve who is downright abusive, let off as he turned on the tears

Sarah hammered again, because she doesn't fancy dean, who would with his fake nice guy act and so immature with his shit raps, I mean he can't be serous with that can he !

And I hate the way Grace is being treated, that Ash, he makes me the most mad, he twists it all so much and the experts had a great opportunity to talk about sexual coercion
Yet missed the point yet again
And he kept interupring grace and putting his spin on the situation

Feel so bad for grace and Sarah

And yet again the men dean Steven and Ash get away with being total shits

Grace doesn't seem right for the show

Garamousalata · 06/10/2025 19:24

i actually quite like Ashley and I think he’s pretty harmless really. Grace is difficult to say the least.

Definitely. She isn't suitable for rhe programme. Too many issues.

Doubleraspberry · 06/10/2025 19:28

I think Ashley is bewildered by Grace as she is so different to his ideas of what a woman will be like. The things he thinks we all like are not landing and he's now adrift. I think he's trying to get to where she is but it's a big leap and he's not entirely succeeding. He has some behaviours which come across as overbearing which are clearly upsetting Grace, and he's not really hearing what she's saying. I suspect he's more chauvinist than I'd personally feel happy about day to day. But Grace really shouldn't be on this show and it's a big ask for anyone to work this stuff through, and Ashley is not the man.

Ruby?

Not Ruby, Nellie.
I'm terrible with their names.
I must write them down.

Hi all, I've been in America these last 2 weeks so am having a mega binge of the show, whilst recovering from my jetlag! I've got up to the first dinner parry. What a shitshow...

Also, Haa anyone said yet how much Crystal Leigh looks just like Jayne Semour?

We are observing a slow rape of Sarah, which is why we are watching her crumble, she hasn't just got the ick, she feels violated. She is being pressured to have a man touch her because she is his wife. He refers to her are his wife, not Sarah. I don't completely blame Dean, he isn't being challenged by the authority in the situation.

Grace drives me crazy, she's been heavily influenced by that friend who has made feminism her personality. For goodness sake, being the way Grace is it is plain unfair to go and buy condoms with a man when you are as hot and cold as she is. Of course she can change her mind for sex at any point, but why even take him to do that and build his hopes up? She could have obtained some for if/when the time comes without making a thing of it. What the hell did she think was going to happen when she married on a TV show- that they would live as friends or a man would fall wildly in love with her and agree to never dare touch her?!

Im not a big fan of Sarah but if she had a better match I think shed have been receptive to intimacy, whereas Grace wants the benefits of a marriage without giving anything back. Withdrawal of affection is also abuse.
