Good episode. I’m glad to see Joel taken in. It must be awful to be involved with turning in your own child. Hope it doesn’t drag on for too long and is a clean ending .
i was a bit worried that dad and boy dna could be the same or too similar to be conclusive but I don’t know enough about it.
I hope Tommy comes to his senses for good.

I actually like how they did this - I didn’t want it to be dragged out as some whodunnit thing, given the subject matter, so it was good that the truth came out so quickly (if slightly unrealistic I suppose).

At the moment plots are drawn out endlessly (Harry and the drugs) or moved on at the speed of light. I agree I don't want the Joel storyline dragging on but the video being discovered and Joel arrested within 30 minutes was bizarre.

Will Joel be bailed? What will happen next?

I was thinking the same. If bailed he would have to go to foster care, like Tommy did. But what he has done is far worse than what Tommy did to Kat.

Don't be sorry, the whole point of storylines like these is to get a conversation going , too often stuff gets brushed under the carpet .

Tommy was in foster care as he was a danger to his brothers. Joel cannot return to Sharon's house as Sharon would not permit it and Vicky lives there. Maybe it would depend on what dopey Ross decides to do.

Having seen today's episode, Ross did show a bit more backbone. I don't think Joel would be allowed to live with Ross either, he was not allowed to be his appropriate adult as he is a witness. Plus Joel realised Ross showed the police the video and said his dad is dead to him, so that seems pretty final. (That didn't really make sense though, because surely the police took his phone straight away and could have found it themselves.)

They seem to be pushing and pulling the Joel storyline around all over the place, but Alex Walkinshaw was good today, he finally got to show some complexity.

Lexi is a madam but she's lost her mum and her dad, and Johnny is a complete plank.

In other news, I see Elaine tells Yolande that she wants to turn No.5 into a boutique hotel!

I haven't watched any this week yet .
In Digital Spy there is a story spoiler that Nigel wants to travel to India and has to sell his car to fund it ...but decides to take it out for a last spin, ( You know it won't go well)

He crashes , Julie then decides to give him an alibi and say she was driving

Check the bruises where the seat belts would sit on the driver and the passenger ( non existent passenger )
Charge Julie for falsifying an accident then she;ll lose her job, move , take those bloody chickens with her .
And we can be spared weeks of everyone wringing their hands .

There are no chickens , Nigel left the coop open and the fox/es got them .

70s Nigel hasn't got a mark on him so the crash will be a little dink with him pranging a skip or something (they never did use the seatbelt evidence for Linda/Janine did they?)

Phil chose a very odd time for his trip to see Louise, just after Julie got a full time job. She hasn't even bothered to ask anyone to watch him, today he was wandering around the square alone thinking Dot is still in the launderette.

I thought Julie'n'Philth bought more ? When the original chickens ( and David Peckham) went to the Great Coop In The Sky ?

Honestly , if you're an Actor Chicken you'd hope your agent wouldn''t excitedly tell you "I've got you a part in a long running popular soap...." Thanks but no thanks , it didn't really work out for the last ones did it now?

Unfortunately those roles were nothing to crow about, just a chicken pie in the sky.
There was fowl play involved and the prospects weren't as eggscellent as eggspected.
Plus the pay was poultry 🐔 🐔 🐔

I can’t remember if the police did the seat belt evidence or not with Linda and Janine!
Linda must have been half way round the world on this cruise ! Originally it was a singles cruise booked up for Priya , not that she has mentioned it since she was told she wasn’t going!

And where's Kojo and who's with him?

I thought Harry was in Kojo's flat, possibly in his bedroom. I've no idea where Kojo is, has Oakie left him in Cardiff?
Linda's cruise is an absolute joke

Yes, Harry is chained up in one of the bedrooms in Kojo's flat. Probably his own room, as he lives there too?

Not sure what they've done with Kojo. But the photo that was sent on George's phone looked photoshopped to me. Like they had just taken a normal photo of Kojo and added a car show background onto it.

Maybe they've got him on a job running drugs around the country?

I thought Harry was in a drugs house miles away and didn't realise he was chained up in his/Kojo's flat. Surely by now Teddy would broken into the flat again to find out what is going on with the camera. Where is Nicola?? The entire storyline is unconvincing and convoluted.

Johnny said he left Linda and the kids on a beach in Mexico I think and that was weeks ago. No mention of them since and obviously no-one cares that neither child is in school. Completely ludicrous. I'm amazed Lexi was able to send a malicious e-mail to 50 of his clients as he is literally never at work so I'm surprised he has even a single client.
