wonder why they decided to the leaving the "mewing" gesture out of the shushing, it's very much a part of this particular misogynistic act and it seemed strange to show a part of it - unless it was felt that kids have moved on from that now and they didn't want to remind them of the whole stupid thing. (They're all fixated on this 6,7 crap now).

I have no idea what any of this means (old). Can someone explain the mewing gesture and the 6,7 crap please????

'mewing' is that thing where you put your tongue against the roof of your mouth to sculpt your jawline.

The relevance to this is that teens use it alongside the "shush" thing to be disrespectful to teachers as some kind of stupid power play.. kind of like the 'talk to the hand' thing.

For some reason, adults find this offensive and the current crop of teachers don't seem to know how to handle it.. rather than telling them to cut it out/treat it like any other attempts to be disrespectful to the adults in charge.

Am I the only one who thinks Vicki is dead ? I haven't read the full thread

I'm glad they haven't killed her off like this , such a complicated storyline . Makes me wonder how they will end it . Can imagine the conflict for Ross, protect his partner or stand by his child

The final straw will presumably be when someone actually goes through his phone and finds the filming of this attack, and the filming of Avani which still hasn't come out. His penchant for filming will be his downfall, he can't talk his way out of that.

How did Joel get access to the device to play this video to the class ? It is sad if this is what is going on in schools. No wonder there is a teaching retention crisis :(

Vicki doesn’t die, but Ross refuses to believe that Joel has done this to her. Maybe Tommy will dob him in ?

Surely Sharon will now tell Ross and Joel to leave, where will they go? Or will they both hide/live in the Slater garage?

Joel is twisted enough to put Vicky's blood on his face to make it seem she provoked him so - if consistent writing happened - he will have permanently deleted any incriminating stuff on his devices and on his devices cloud (but I know the police can recover anything digitally).

Reece's garage is also free, they would be well suited there

I don't think he will have permanently deleted his films, they are like trophies to him and he wants them to be seen if only by a select audience. He would certainly opt to hide them on his devices (would be easy if it was Ross looking!) But he wouldn't delete, otherwise what is the point (storylinewise) of the filming. It all has to come out at some point.

It just seems so convenient that the videos will be his downfall and I get the impression that next week Ross tries to persuade Vicky not to press charges. Maybe Ross will get him to delete them. I would like it if the woman from the tube reappears and presses charges - maybe she will and that video gets recovered.

He may also blackmail Vicki by saying that he’ll tell the police that she paid off the girl on the tube train not to give evidence! He probably wouldn’t do this, but it may warn her off ? His capable of anything really

Ross ordered him to delete a video when this storyline was beginning, didn't he. I think on that occasion Ross saw him delete it, but then he retrieved it. I think it was before the tube woman, it was some other incriminating content, upskirting? It was similar to what he did in Aus, because Ross was saying WTTE 'not again, you said all that was over'.

But no one knows about the Avani video and that has to be one of the final reveals, the nail in his coffin. I'm sure he knows the black arts of hiding content, but as you say, so do the police! Actually so do probably all the teens on the square!

Im lead to believe ( without really knowing ) that nothing is ever properly deleted forever , but I suppose it’s not as easy as it may sound to retrieve things ?

They said he hacked into the Bluetooth the teacher was using. You see other people’s Bluetooth when you turn it on I settings but no idea how you access it

Tech has made life so much more difficult with things like this. Years ago it was just mucky mags from the dodgy bookshop or top shelf in brown envelopes, which was bad enough , but meant people had to work at tracking it down. It’s much easier these days to access so much more :(

It takes specialist knowledge that teams in the police have to recover deleted stuff from devices. You can delete from your devices and the cloud, restore the device to factory settings, but it won’t work if you’re being investigated.

Would Joel have to destroy his phone in order not to be found out? Or can it still be accessed ?

Maybe the constant slapping of each other that goes on may stop now ! Phil once pushed Sharon whilst she was pregnant with his child ( he didn’t know Albie was his though at that point, but he still did it :(
We had Gray beating up poor old Chantelle and that ended very badly too.

I can’t understand why Vicky, who is a scrappy, outspoken character - would have stayed so long with her wet wipe bloke and his vile son?!

Mind you, she did pay off the girl he sexually assaulted on the tube (which wasn’t really believable either).

Ah well. It’s not real, as my DD likes to tell me when I mutter at the telly.

Vicki was previously with the wet wipe who is Spencer so I suppose that is her type! But you would think by this point she would be having second thoughts about Wet Wipe 2.
