I think they've said he's returning permanently next year. It's like the Zoe and Max returns, a glimpse of them for no apparent reason except headlines. He's only been offscreen about 18 months hasn't he? Yet has changed so much.

Also remember a lot of soap opera cast members start acting as kids , then become teenagers , young adults before maturing to the adults they are today , plus throw in weight loss or working out in the gym and no-one remains the same as they were .

Ben looks hot.

Suki’s hair is getting taller.

Eve looks really well considering what she’s been going through in RL.

Zoe is the worst actress on the planet.

I like Gina and Harry.

Jumpers is still annoying.

Prison don’t let people got to the pub after an in-laws funeral. It’s hard to even get day release for a direct relative.

I like Gina and Harry , but she’ll probably get involved with the drugs story and find out about Kojo annd what his going through and they will split up I guess.
It’s a shame as she obviously likes him a lot.

How good is Balvinder ( Suki) on Strictly! She is fab.

Ben went to the pub?? (haven't watched yet)

Balvinder is great on Strictly. And so nice, as well as being such a good actress.

Very grown up today with Callum and Ben.
I predict that he still loves him and may be a ‘ triangle ‘ situation going on soon

I would like it if they got back together again. Johnny is the clingy type, I can see Callum getting bored of him soon.

When Suki and Eve were chatting in the Albert today what were they talking about ? I was a tad confused as it sounded as if they were talking about someone and I didn’t understand the reference? Was it around the baby ? Or the drug story ?

Joel is going to attack Vicky, she is going to be hospitalised. From what I've read, Ros defends Joel

I thought the incident on Thursday involving Joel was at the school. Maybe Vicky is visiting there for some reason.

Surely this is the end of Joel’s time in the square. Unless she stays with Ross and Joel in that house, which could evolve to be a compelling but harrowing domestic violence story if done well.

I hope Vicki doesn’t stay with Ross after this attack.
He is just as bad as his wayward son :(

Perhaps they could become a throple , don't think Eastenders has done that yet !

There is potential for some really interesting storylines around this. So I hope Joel is kept on as a character to explore the relationship dynamics, behaviour and motivations of Ross and Vicky. Also interesting to examine what potential outcomes there are for a family with a teen who is a potential psychopath.

Also the lad who plays Joel is a great actor, and we need more of that and less Zoe.

I agree I would like to see more of Joel as the actor is so good. I'm not sure where they could take him though. Unfortunately I really dislike Vicky and she's been enabling him, so my sympathy with her will be limited.

I agree. I would like it if the writers explored how his mum leaving him affected how he is, for example. I just don’t have much faith in the writers so I’m kind of expecting to send him off somewhere, conveniently, as they sometimes do with ‘villain’ characters after those characters have done their worst.

From what I can gather , Harry gets into more trouble soon and Gina starts to see Oakie. I did wonder if it would be another recycled story of Kat with Andy Hunter and Alfie going off to rescue her! Although it’s only musings !

@Southeastdweller I think the problem with exploring Joel's relationship with his mother is that it could look like it excuses his behaviour. Which it doesn't. I think it is beyond the ability of EE to do this subject justice. Especially with characters like Ross and Vicki involved.

I found tonight's episode quite boring, Stuart was the best thing about it. Ben looks old and tired, he is a good actor but Ben is a professional victim. At least he does know about Callum and Johnny but presumably he will return with an agenda to 'ruin them'.

I am so fed up with the drugs storyline I don't even care about Kojo now.

Ben’s hearing aid had moved sides, I find this annoying as the prison in America wouldn’t have funded the surgery for it to be moved.

Oops my bad, his original hearing aid was in the left ear then the cochlear implant has always been on the right

Yes I see your point @Shellingbynight EE probably won’t go there and the writer’s aren’t skilled enough to depict a complicated relationship between Joel and his mother without hints of justification for his appalling behaviour. He is after all still a child and I’m saying that his behaviours could partly be explained by that relationship. Ross is a waste of space as well.
