Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Yes, Aston Merrigold from JLS is one I recall. I also googled and it happened to Pixi Lott too. I don’t remember her though.

Vicky would have loved Blackpool, I feel so sorry for her.

I do think they should have chosen Bal to go, it's a bit cruel putting her in the DO most weeks.

Gutted for Vicky. I really think it was Balvinder's time to go! I thought Karen might be unsafe so voted X5 for her.

Oh wow I’m shocked by this result, I always thought Vicky and Kai were front runners!!

Can I also add how boring it was last night, I think this is a series we'll all forget very quickly. I don't know whether I'm just over it altogether or no one is making me root for them. You can see on the social accounts that there isn't a stand out celebrity who is looking like they'll win (going by likes/views). Perhaps I'm not the only one.

I'd rather Vicky had stayed. But her Jive was dreadful.

No it's not cruel. That's not the point of the dance off.

It's showing the judges belief in her resilience and determination. She's also not annoying.

Why "the producers" can't just let it pan out without manipulation I don't know. Let's just have a year of going with the flow and see what happens.

Any one else in Balvinder's position would have been moaning and weeping by now, but she stoically plugs away.
I actually think moaning and dragging out dead rellies would work better.

I have read this morning that Vicky may have fallen during her dance off dance. Not confirmed, just chat on social media.

I found myself annoyed by this. They told Vicky last week she was final material, yet (though through no fault of her own) Balvinder has plodded each week, dance off after dance off, it’s clear she doesn’t have the votes, put her out of her misery.

I never care what the judges think. Shirley, for one, hates WOC anyway. And they all overpraise men for simply plodding around. Like La Voix. George too.

There was no way they weren't going to allow LaVoix not to get to Blackpool. He'll be unbearable on next week's show and it will all about him.

I think Vicky would have been great in the final as she would have had a real ‘journey’ - she’s not a ringer and if given styles she’s good at, then she absolutely would have had such a strong chance of winning (as last week showed). Disappointed she won’t be there. I do like Bal but she’s had her time & hasn’t wowed me once. Plus not a fan of Julian.

Bad timing for Vicky’s jive, which wasn’t good.

Karen to win now, do we think? I will be happy with that.

Alex for me. I am so disappointed for Vicky.

I like Alex but I don't think she is as good as Karen. Would be glad to see her in the final though. She's plateaued a bit.

Is it me, or does anyone else find Karen's dancing to be very jerky? She isn't an attractive dancer at all.

Her AS was def a spiky muscular AS but I quite liked that rather than the usual twee stuff. I actually want Lewis to win- he is head and shoulders above the others- but he won''t because he is a ringer.

Final for me should now be Lewis, Alex, Karen & George (if Alexis can sort out her choreography & work to his strengths!), with Lewis to win.

I agree with PP that Karen isn’t an ‘attractive’ dancer as such but I loved her Peaky Blinders routine & enjoyed last night’s as it was different.

There will only be three in the final won't there? Because di and Stefan retired from injury.

I’m so glad La Voix made it to Blackpool. They are the only person with a bit of personality this year, rest are very bland so at least next week will be entertaining

With it being a 3 person final I see it being Lewis, George and Karen which if it is will be the most boring final ever.

I have seen more boring finals.
