No idea why Ray's doing this to April but she's the most laughable drug courier ever. It's a wonder nobody reported her for being out alone from school without an adult.

I attended a county lines lecture, what he’s doing is making sure she “owes” him so she can’t escape. They’re evil these people!

Thanks @TheFormidableMrsC Drug dealing is not something I know a lot about so much of this goes right over my head.

I think this is a really valuable storyline because it can happen to anybody from any background and the kids don’t realise it’s happening until it’s too late. I hope they continue to treat it sensibly because it’s a huge issue, especially for vulnerable young teens. It’s something I remind my own young teen about all the time because he’s autistic and would love somebody like Ray and loves to “help”. It’s really very frightening.

When I was safeguarding lead at a High School, I came across pupils who had been drawn into County Lines. Always vulnerable pupils, who had a dysfunctional home life for one reason or another, but what they all had in common was they wanted to be part of something, and the ‘Rays’ had an instinct for their vulnerability, like they could smell it. They drew the kids in, used and exploited them, then hung them out to dry. It’s sad, it’s happening now, and it needs addressing.

I hope they do this storyline justice, Ray and Dylan actors are worthy of it. I feel that April and Marlon actors are too weak, and will undermine the message but hopefully I’m wrong.

As far as I can tell, John has lied to Aaron, it was his mum’s cottage, and he has lured Aaron there, and is keeping Mack in an underground bunker on the land.
