Kate Richie (who played Sally on Home and Away). In an interview she said that one of the reasons she left the soap was because she wanted to figure out who was Kate and who was Sally as there was so much overlap. I think she started playing Sally aged about 8 so presumably she had few memories of not being Sally.

I have read in the gutter press a newspaper that she is like Kat, but worse. Kat without the loveable bits.

Most of the long term ones probably sort of end up merging to an extent, I would imagine.

I find it quite interesting when they are so different from their characters in real life.

I always think that most of the women in Eastenders be themselves but just shout a bit more than usual.
