Enjoying this season as feels more normal than the US one which is influencer central!
Spleen guy was a complete weirdo who uses body parts to justify being a dick. Aanu and he had nothing in common though - she wasn’t into his philosophy and he wasn’t as family focused as her. She only warmed up at the end to prolong her stay. He wasn’t wrong for walking away but he seemed to take real pleasure in ‘breaking up with her’. It was triggered by her not jumping to please him initially - his spleen has an ego.
Kal and Sarover don’t seem well suited and not just country politics. It’s a class chip on his shoulder as evidenced by his comments on her ‘posh accent’. Then calling her ‘princess’. Also I felt him talking about previously liking blondes was calculated to make her insecure and bring her down a peg esp because she told him he was her type. I also shuddered with how he went after Katisha so hard for rejecting Damola, making her uncomfortable- another case of wanting to cut down a woman who dared say no. Ugh, I hope I’m wrong about him but don’t like him now, initially he seemed nice.
Javon and Katisha - the more he detaches from her, the more she likes him. Watching her constantly pull reassurance from him like blood from a stone is painful. I liked Damola but she wasn’t excited by him so it’s fair she didn't choose him. She’s gorgeous but her picker is broken.
DH correctly predicted that Sophie was too ‘Essex’ and a bit corporate for Kieran. Megan was his Balham, yoga girly comfort zone. I thought he was mean to reject Sophie indirectly by giving Megan a present instead of just telling her first. I felt bad for her as she had no inclination that’s how he felt - very cowardly of him. I like both girls, they’re very different personalities but Kieran and Megan seem smitten so guess was the right choice. Let’s see.
Ashleigh is being a little shit stirrer atm but not at all subtle haha. She and Billy seem into each other, wonder how their lives back home will work. My mum was cabin crew till she retired so always travelling. Her marriage worked as my dad could wfh/ran his own business - was flexible and 100% supported my mum’s career and took on the lion’s share at home. Billy doesn’t strike me as the type and I wonder if Ashleigh likes him enough to quit her career!! I hope not..
Jed and Bardha look well matched as in they both seem to like more traditional roles in marriage and big on family.
Looking forward to new episodes today.
