Today’s one was a bit random. They always have afternoon parties and it’s so strange!

Poor Avani, but I’m sure she’ll do re sits and it’ll be fine.
I felt a bit sorry for her today

I'm a bit confused as to why Nugget and Avani were doing gcses at the same time, I thought he is older than her?

They're supposed to be only 11 months apart in age. Avani had her sweet 16 party in July, so she must have been born in July 2009 and Nugget must have been born in September 2008. (I think I've got my maths right there!)

Maybe Avani was born early and Nugget and her are only 10 months apart or something like that ? If that makes any sense ..?! They are not twins.
Was Nuggets GCSE or A level results?

Gcses, but you're probably right re the age gap.

I don’t understand the new numbers game with the GCSE results , give me As A stars and Bs etc any day!.
Avani will have to re sit her Maths and English ;(

It’s quite refreshing in a soap to see characters fail exams and of course credible but sad that Avani failed a couple.

9 is now the highest mark and 1 is the lowest. A pass is 4 (used to be C) I was shocked to read today in the Times that 40% of 16 year olds didn’t pass Maths and English language, a slight increase on last year. I don’t think coursework is included these days which may be part of the issue.

It was refreshing to see someone fail . I do agree that was quite realistic, but I hope they show her journey of re sits and getting a pass.
English and maths are hard : I bet I would still be doing my maths one now if these rules around re sits was around in the 80s! Hopeless with numbers.

Who was watching Jimmy and Louis?
At one point , Oscar , Pe ta and Lauren were all in different places , child free.
I know it’s a normal thing on EE , but it annoys me and Jimmy is only a few months old or something!

Poor Barney and his failed chemistry exam. Whose stupid idea was it to have him open his results in the cafe. Obv he was going to get upset. Also what was the reason he wrote nothing on the paper. Barney could prob pass at the least without revising

Barney can re sit his exam too ? I hope he can.

Why were they all opening results in the cafe? Do they really receive a paper copy now, surely it's all sent digitally? It was realistic that Avani failed some exams. Ravi was not helping by saying it didn't matter. He's hardly a great example🙄

So Jack is now a medic and could diagnose Patrick as having a panic attack apparently. Any storyline with Jack immediately annoys me!

Seeing Howie attacking Oscar has finally made me warm to Oscar.

I think the Nigel storyline is going to become very annoying if Julie carries on like this for too long.

Shelling, I’ve never ever liked Jack the plank.
He is annoying and fast becoming a ‘ lifer ‘ too ..

Agreed he is such a plank and I fear you are right, he does seem like he's got lifer status now. Eurgh.

Just seen students on the news opening envelopes with exam results, so it’s still like that!

How come Nugget and Ivani did GCSEs in the same year..

Snow. We seem to think that Nugget and Avani are only 11 months apart , so they fell into the same school year.

I reckon Jack&Jack (need to resurrect his nickname ) will arrest Kojo to get him to a SafeHouse because the whole drugs ring is going to hit the fan.
He cannot say to George "Yeah , I;m moving your brother because you cannot keep him safe"

Ravi will be his main aim, to get him banged up , mainly because he still bears the grudge for Ravi'n'Denice .

I like Oscar too , he is very convoluted . When Max comes back will they bond or explode ? Oscar doesn't seem fond of his mum ( refers to her as Tanya , not Mum) . He knows about Stacey and Max . He'll probably resent her for being instrumental in his parents splitting when he was a baby . Or as this is Eastenders they can bond in the downfall of Max

Nugget and Avani are heirs to the Panesar Empire so they;ll be fine even without GCSE results .

So they still get a paper copy, thanks 80s.

That's an interesting question about Max and Oscar. Max wouldn't exactly be a good influence on Oscar so I hope they hate each other.

The Panesar empire is crumbling, Ravi just lost half of it. I wonder if Linda will take over that restaurant, we still don't know what they are doing with her as she's on the world's longest cruise.

Elaine hasn’t sorted out a new home for Linda and co yet. Goodness knows where they will live and work. Yes, it is the world’s longest cruise , I wonder where they actually went ?
Good call re Linda and the restaurant, she will need a job of some kind and Elaine can’t earn much at the Albert despite it being more than minimum wage as she negotiated a pay rise with Cindy and hardly ever there.
Johnny can become a lawyer again maybe? At least it’s good money.
Maybe Max will help her find a place to live and work because of Annie ? Not sure what they will do tbh!

Linda was renowned for her dreadful / lack of basic cooking skills when she arrived at the Vic. Maybe Mclunkys would be more fitting for her culinary repertoire?

Linda would definitely need a decent chef at the restaurant! She can’t boil an egg.
I’d like Zac to become the market inspector.
He didn’t come to see Barney on his results day though, but then he isn’t in it that much lately.
