Not seen a thread yet. Started on u and w tonight 4th August. Is it a Back to Win or just some are returning contestants?

Are these Italian chefs annoying anyone else? Are they very popular in Oz?

I'm only 8 minutes in and I'm watching utterly baffled. But apparently there are people in UK who find Mrs Brown funny so...🤷‍♀️

Apparently an Internet phenomenon in Aus. Not in the least bit funny. Perhaps on theirvown show they come across better.

Laura is annoying. Does she ever do anything other than pasta unless it's a dessert challenge?

To be fair it's a 'nona' challenge so she's got an excuse this challenge.

Have I missed something? There's a contestant who is not being mentioned or featured at all. A thin white guy with cropped hair.
I'm watching tonight's episode and we haven't seen what he cooked at any point. Not even at judging. But he wasn't in the bottom 5 so headed up to the gantry.
Did something happen later in the series and he's effectively been edited out? Or I'm I just unobservant?

I think you mean Beau. Yes, he hardly ever gets a mention. Last week he did well though. He cooked something and JCN said he would put it on his menu in his restaurant. He seems very quiet compared to all the others.

Thanks @mrswhiplington that will be him. I'd registered I didn't know his name and knew nothing about him so I watched closely tonight specifically to find out. But it was as if he hadn't been there 🤷‍♀️

You have to be a bit of an extrovert to get anywhere on these shows. Talk about your 'nona' all the time, talkvabout your heritage or look like you're in a panic. Get their attention and keep it. Skill only gets you so far. It is after all television and they want viewers.

I agree and am very aware of how certain contestants get maximum coverage. Or the 'drama' of some contestants. It's always been so and annoys me like it does most people. But this is the other end of the scale, it felt like Beau (now I know his name) is actively being erased. However I accept that I'm not always watching with 100% attention so may have missed his brief moments in the spotlight. I'll be playing my own game of Spot Beau from now on 😄

Caught up a few days, Ben finally played the pin! Agree some contestants seem less visible than others. Didn’t really get the concept of instagram food and felt it had too much airtime for dishes that seemed to be pretty similar.

I'm feeling reassured that they at least acknowledged Beau's existence at in last night's episode . 😄
Laura is clearly an excellent chef but I'm really struggling watching her. Her approach to yesterday's cook was really irritating.

I think we should start the Beau fan club.😅 I really like Declan, he's very comical and doesn't take himself too seriously.

I know what you mean about Laura. Glad Depinder won. They should just rename the show Cook With Laura.

Declan annoyed me in his previous series. I've quite enjoyed watching him this season

I'm certainly rooting for him just to get decent airtime @mrswhiplington . He must be a decent chef as he's doing well. I just hope when he gets a chance to speak I dont dislike him 😆
I like Declan too and Callum. I know he got star billing but I still find him likeable and self-effacing. I was really pleased for Depinder and would like her to go far in the competition.

The programme has aired! It's not a spoiler and not massively significant anyway, as there were multiple 'winners' in that episode. So no need to get sarky.
On tv threads the discussion follows in real time. What's the point of the thread if we can't comment on what happens in the episode. If you've not watched it the onus is on you to stay away from the thread .

Not sure if anyone will remember scottish Ali from season 14 but its been revealed its her hand writing on the Tesco adverts. The every little helps part.

Just watched Thursdays one. Nice prize for top 4 to go business class rather than economy to Doha.
but a tad unfair on callum as winner of previous challenge so exempt from immunity!

Im just starting the doha ones. Because sky puts a full week on catch up on the Monday I am usually ahead of W

I got to the final 3 and decided to skip ahead via the u app rather than watch live. Ignoring the “fun episode” with the judges, but have watched semi and now final.
I assume the actual final is today? Or tomorrow? When are we safe to speak about it?

I'm still watching in 'real' time. I was irritated by the 'fun' episode yesterday.
I know who I'd like to win, who I would be ok with winning and who I'd rather didn't win.
I'm assuming semifinal this evening and final tomorrow?

Yes, final is on tomorrow. They add the full week worth to the sky app on a Monday, so I am trying hard to wait till tomorrow when I know it is already available.
