I do rather like oscar. He’s funny and reminds me so much of max. I assume max will be coming back soon to see his son and maybe meet his daughter - she’s a mini max as well

joel isn’t a nice boy and needs to taught a lesson or five - he will get into more trouble

See...I was getting confused because she seems massively over involved for a recent /2-3 year addition in his life .

She acts like she has brought him up since babyhood and treats him like she would her own son.

Ross is a useless dad .....mins you he wasn't much better on Casualty either ! 😅

He is absolutely awful. Chucking himself about and that dreadful monotone voice that has no inflection.

Avani baby storyline is crazy! And no way would she let herself be talked into having a baby by Suki.

Calm down Oscar …. We know you’re supposed to have ADHD and life with Tanya hasn’t been a picnic but the over acting, leaping about and projecting to the imaginary audience in the balcony is getting a bit ridiculous. And wtf Lauren…. Are you going to actually perjure yourself?

feel sorry for Howie with Kim banging on about him not earning enough. Or is she keeping the family afloat with her insta following and (very occasional) shifts at the hair salon ?

Glad it’s not just me who is finding the actor playing Oscar totally irritating and overacting. He’s out of his depth. Surely he can’t have been the only choice for the part. It’s embarrassing. He’s behaving like he’s performing in Hamlet or something.

I think that’s the character he plays. He does remind me of max so much

I like the actor playing Oscar. It's a complex character and a foil to Joel, the actor playing him is equally good. Strong roles for younger people but these two male characters have more dimensions to them than the younger female characters - who just seem to end up dealing with pregnancy. Not great for diversity and inclusion.

I like Oscar! I think he plays the part really well. ADHD all over (reminds me of my son, and also terrifies me a bit that my son will end up in prison like him….)

I think the actor who plays Lily is excellent, and I also think Amy is good. Avani gets on my nerves.

He’s dreadful isn’t he, I think the only reason he got the part is he does look like Max, his acting skills are like something out of a silent movie, completely over the top.

Well tbf, I think Avani was an interesting character and very well acted until this latest bizarre baby storyline. And Nugget and Denzel, all quite believable. I just don’t see any interesting dimensions to Oscar, he’s a bad ‘un who, having had zero contact with Lauren for years, is suddenly (over) acting like family means everything to him. On the other hand I do think the actor playing Joel is very good; he has a real range of emotions and the dynamic between him and other actors is really convincing

I agree Joel is very good, I go from wanting to punch him and then feeling sorry for him when he was crying!

The actor playing Joel is great. He’s able to portray innocence and an absolute snake at the same time.

Joel as a character doesn't deserve any sympathy and that's good acting for someone so young.

If you compare the acting abilities of the chap playing Joel to those of the one playing Oscar they’re poles apart. He’s got it all wrong and he’s not even a Cockney. What can he have been told to do by the director? Leap about like a pound shop Brian Blessed? Hope he buggers off soon

Agree. The actor playing Joel is totally believable, like he’s immersed in the character. Conversely, watching Oscar, I’m conscious of the actor acting if you see what I mean. Trying. Very. Hard. To. Act.

Yes the actor playing Joel is totally immersed in the character. He’s acting the dad off the screen. (That actor plays himself in everything. Wasn't he in The Bill years ago?) Lily and Avani are excellent. Don’t see the point of Nugget, Denzil or Amy and where on earth is Ricky these days??
