I agree with a lot of what you say - yes, we watch TV for a bit of escapism so we do need it to be a bit more exciting/interesting/glamorous/dramatic than real life but there is also a level of duty when it comes to something like a soap and it would be nice to see some of the points you made covered. Given how often people split up in soaps they have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate how a woman who lives with a man essentially has no rights if they split up and the effects that can have!

However I have a vague memory of Kim becoming a celebrant as part of some previous plot device. It was a few years ago now and presumably something to do with someone else's wedding, I really can't remember any of the specific details but I'm sure it was something she did through official channels at the time.

I don't think Max is interested in Zoe at all, she was available at the time and he had an empty spot. He's come back for Stacey and yes, probably somehow they'll mix it in with the Brazil storyline. She'll flip flop about the idea for a while longer and then either go or stay because of Max, that's my prediction. There's got to be some kind of Max and Stacey trouble, and let's be honest Zoe can't be a particularly appealing option for any bloke anyway, she's awful, and is even worse next to Stacey, the love of Max's life - despite what Stacey says, she and Max are clearly the (godawful and miserable) loves of each others' lives, not Martin, Linda or Tanya!

I hate to get too serious about Eastenders because, well, it's Eastenders (!), but either the acting is great or it comes naturally to those two, because Max and Stacey do have chemistry on screen.

I noticed this, but then realised it’s right as it’s still the day of the wedding. So it might be a different episode, but we’re still on the same day.

we usually have 4 a week so they shuffle the m over football and tennis but still usually have 4 and obv when they filmed it 6w ago wouid have worked out which day it would have been as filming would be early aug

Quite often an episode is more than one day, or a day lasts for more than one episode. The Peter/Lauren wedding scenes have been over 2 episodes but still the same day, and tonight's is likely to still be the wedding - Stace kicking off at Max and Zoe presumably

I’m raging at Max already! Poor Oscar was so happy to see him and Max was barely giving him the time of day, then had the cheek to go crying to Stacey about needing people are him because of Abi dying (only one of his TWO dead kids) around him.
