As I say, this is the countdown to the end, now we're in the last week of the series. I think it finishes on 4th Aug... Just over a week away.

No clear winner(s) at the moment really, quite a few unlikeable contestants, and lots of arguments and discord! I'm almost looking forward to this series ending to be honest! 😆

Yes we all see things differently. I think Meghan has the most symmetrical face and most beautiful in the house I think. Emma is beautiful in her instagram but didn’t live up to the pictures in the house and is one of those people who seem more unattractive because they don’t appear pleasant personality wise.

I completely agree, also as someone previously mentioned he’s unraveling by the day the closer it gets to the prize money!
Surely he knows he’s not going to win?!

At this point I actually feel a bit sorry for Meg, her whole experience has been ruined by coupling up with someone who uses & gaslights her. The situation kinda reminds me of Jake & Libby a few years ago.

I highly doubt that any of them are primarily there to ‘find a boyfriend / girlfriend’ so I don’t feel too sorry for most of them.

Helena has all my sympathy though. We saw from the characters of her parents that she has no learned resilience or self esteem in relationships - and she cleared adored that scumbag and was made a total fool of. It’s probably the worst thing I’ve seen in the handful of seasons I’ve watched.

Except Libby was lovely & genuine & intelligent!!

Omg thank youuuuu I couldn't remember the word mentionitis but yes I totally agree! And I think that is what Jamie was alluding to before Toni and Shakirah came over and asked him to leave.

I’d like Shakira and Toni to win.
They made it worth watching this year.

Who can win?
Meg and D? May be popular with young voters?
Toni and Cach? Not established enough. And reading that Cach has been on other reality tv shows has made me cynical.
Yas and Jamie? Don’t seem to have much chemistry tbh. Somebody made a good point wondering if she’s ND. She could very well be which accounts for her straight talking.
Harry and Shakira? Harry has scuppered the chance of whoever is with him but I think Shakira is more smitten with Harry than the money.
Angel and Ty? Nobody cares enough about either of them.

Id say Yas and Jamie but I’m not the voting audience.

I think Helena’s ego was bruised/pounded by Harry but I absolutely don’t believe she was ever besotted by him. To me she played a game throughout the show. I thought they were well
matched in that regard.

Mostly agree with you. It's a popularity vote, and great general public could see M & D's journey as a winner. Their detractors may not vote sufficiently enough for one other couple to sway it.

I think the Yas/Dejon thing just comes down to whether you know that the rule is to say someone you don't fancy in order to make your partner feel okay, or whether you're just straightforwardly answering the question in the moment. I saw it more like the latter, just like when you look at a boyband and pick the one you fancy. She's not attracted to Ty so why lie by picking him, unless you know the rule and can sell it? Especially makes sense if she is NT, which would make sense in a lot of ways. Likewise, I think it'd be patent BS if Dejon picked Angel just because Meg would permit that answer. It's different with Harry because he fancies everyone so can sell the nice answer. But I think Dejon and Yas picked each other because of that initial attraction and it's 'not that deep' as a PP said. Esp in the context of a silly game. You can think someone's hot but still think they're a prick. In fact the strength of the ire is often because of the attraction. No one's gonna vehemently hate Angel or Ty as they're not interesting enough.

I agree with whoever said that it at least gave Jamie a moment to show more dimension so no bad thing as long as they move past it and it's not overblown.

Conor and Megan?

I forgot about them. I really dislike Megan. I worked with someone who looked like her and talked and sounded like her and she gave me a permanent headache as she was always constantly talking rubbish in a rushed voice and was too loud.
I like Conor though. And his calm voice and accent.
But it’s very unfair to let Megan go
out and watch and read everything written about her and go back in. It allowed her to change her whole personality and allegiances based on the public’s perceptions and that is incredibly unfair to the other islanders.

They should all have been given 24 hour access to the internet when she returned - at the very least.

Megan is not likeable at all
also she’s been there 20% of the time, doesn’t deserve to be in the final

Absolutely agree with this. Plus she was horrible to Shakira for weeks. I thought she was thoroughly unpleasant and had zero sympathy or respect for her. She also teamed up with the worst girl in there and only got away with slagging off her “bestie” because they had no other friends.

It does bug me that Megan is in there after being voted out, and Tommy is at home. Not that he seems bothered, he seems to be enjoying himself no end.

I like Conor, and think him and Megan work well as a couple. But completely agree she shouldn't be in the running to win after being voted out.

If they had a "vote to re-enter" and she got back in that way I wouldn't have a problem with her winning.

This has been speculated online also. She hasn’t been diagnosed but yes I agree there are definitely traits. The masking, the nodding, the directness, the honesty.

I think its not so bad as she was only sent home from a love island producer cull versus voted out by the public which would be an issue.

Wasn't it actually the public that dumped her as she got the least amount of votes? Not like other times when it's down to the islanders to pick out of the bottom 3 or whatever.

Agreed. I don't mind like before when they've brought them back just for dates or whatever but it shouldn't be allowed they're able to win the cash. If they want to mess about like that, they need to make voters aware, like they used to do on big brother when you'd vote people to go into the bedsit or whatever, knowing they'd later return.

I guess they think it doesn't count as votes are free... but it's still a waste of our time.

It was public vote, that's why it was a big shocker and why she's dialled things down.
