As I say, this is the countdown to the end, now we're in the last week of the series. I think it finishes on 4th Aug... Just over a week away.

No clear winner(s) at the moment really, quite a few unlikeable contestants, and lots of arguments and discord! I'm almost looking forward to this series ending to be honest! 😆

There’s speculation online that they’ll bring all the old islanders back to vote a couple out, like they did on all stars. I hope they don’t tbh, seems like a crap way to go when it’s so close to the final!

They've done that a few times.

They might get rid of Meg and Dejon, knowing they're not popular.

It just shows that the producers decide the winner.

They can remove and return people whenever they choose.

The public vote is just to keep people watching, keep up the ratings and create noise around the show. It’s used as a manipulation tool for the contestants to make them drop unpopular partners, regroup, change tactics.

I think the show would be better without so much manipulation but I‘m more interested in watching people’s behaviour than watching people being told to sit and talk about other contestants to each other.

I love the bits they show on the Saturday show. The year Dani Dyer was in it, there were very funny moments and they showed them all messing and having the craic a lot more. Now it's all serious chats... "can I pull you for a chat" "yeah where do you wana go" aaaagggghhhhhhhh

I'm totally cynical but the Yasmin/Dejon 'choices' made me question whether the producers engineered that situation, I thought it was weird how Yasmin initially 'misinterpreted' the question. However, if genuinely their choices, I'd agree that it's likely due to physical sexual tension rather than them actually liking each other. Hopefully not that deep for Yasmin and Jamie although first look seems to be showing M&D aren't letting it go yet.

Anyone else low key scared of Dejon's reaction when they get dumped? He's going to fully blame Meg for making him "look bad onfront of the cameras", claim they got a bad edit and lose his shit.

I'm really sceptical about Yas and Jamie now as I think Jamie is probably too tame for her and I don't think she's the type to kid herself or settle, so I do think she's with him for the win. I did cringe a bit as he quite obviously wants children and she made it perfectly clear that was very unlikely to happen with her and he rather feebly muttered it wasn't a deal breaker.

I'd have honestly paid for them to send in a totally irresistible hot man whose sole mission was to steal Meg earlier on. I'd love to have seen Mr "we're still open, right?" attitude towards that. You can guarantee possessiveness can be added to his very long list of faults.

I know what you mean, I thought Jamie looked a bit deflated during that baby challenge by Yasmin's reaction! I doubt they'll last on the outside unfortunately. I think they're certainly a couple for convenience sake in the villa but aren't most of them I guess 😂

Cripes, me too! How bloody ridiculous to blow it up into that level of paranoia. Says a lot about the deep insecurities and lack of belief in any genuine connection. 'He wrote her name on a board'. Uh yeah and Jamie wrote 'day beds' for his favourite place! Chill the fuck out, Meg!! It would be meaningless except that it's somehow punctured the whole facade of their 'love' and now you can how much they pretty much can't stand each other. He's well over it and she's going proper loopy. Someone scoop them out of their for therapy asap!

I think it's a bit much to expect them to want babies together at this stage. It can still be a genuine connection and a nice relationship in the villa without needing to commit to each other at anything like that level. Doesn't mean it's purely cynical and convenient. They're young enough to have fun together a while and then Jamie can have babies with plenty of candidates no doubt and Yas can finally get around to stealing someone's husband if she's still into that.

I’ve enjoyed this years show far more than recent seasons.

Normally post Casa we go into the whole ‘Hunt the Slipper era’ ( Credit to Chris and Dave’s Reality TV podcast) where everyone declares themselves exclusive then boyfriend and girlfriend.

I’ve absolutely no idea who will win or how they’ll rank and I’m actually going to watch the last episodes for the first time in years.

The villa environment is a game so I stand by my thoughts that most are couples of convenience in order to win. Saying that though, I agree that Yasmin and Jamie seem to have chemistry and seem to like each other so maybe they'll continue their situationship into the real world - rooting for them to surprise me 😊

Yaz is only interested in herself . She hasn’t taken much notice of Jamie has she and when she talks to him the conversation is one way. Her talking. She is more natural with the girls.
