As I say, this is the countdown to the end, now we're in the last week of the series. I think it finishes on 4th Aug... Just over a week away.

No clear winner(s) at the moment really, quite a few unlikeable contestants, and lots of arguments and discord! I'm almost looking forward to this series ending to be honest! 😆

Also can't understand how Mustard can be Yas's second option as he is SO different to Jamie. I did think she really liked him but now I'm wondering if she's with him as he's safe and unlikely to get her kicked out. It's put me right off her anyway and she won't get my vote anymore.

I don’t blame Jamie for being a bit taken aback by Yasmin’s hypothetical choice in Dejon. She said something privately to Shakira and Toni a few days ago like “Why would we be jealous of Meg when Dejon is XYZ?” Cant remember exactly what she said. He’s also treated her pretty poorly. Seems inexplicable to me at least why she’d possibly want to stroke his ego so I was as confused as Jamie. Definitely sexual tension if anything.

I didn’t think they (Yas and Jamie) were that compatible previously but couldn’t put my finger on it. Last night, I felt this even more. He seems pretty down to earth and wants a family for a start.

Toni and Cach to win for me. Would be happy for Megan & Conor to come second as time goes on but I know it’s not really fair since she was voted out. It’s nice seeing how uncomplicated their relationship is since she’s returned. I also quite like Ty and Angel. Don’t understand why people don’t like her but then I don’t watch attentively. Maybe I’m missing something.

Most of the men have been awful this year and the girls have been so bitchy. It's been a horrible watch.

I really feel for Meg.

Think Shakira & Harry are getting a winners edit now, wouldn't be surprised if the producers had based those questions on conversations they had heard them have very recently, their answers were too similar down to the exact words, it makes me suspicious.

I wonder if Yas is neurodivergent, she was very triggered by the baby's crying and she has such an honest way of speaking. I do quite like her. She is so unique and I think she is actually a good role model to younger girls watching. The only niggle I have about her is that she didn't make a great first impression ( I like married men etc ) but she does seem like a different person now.

Megan is so beautiful, think her and Conor are genuine. Still don't like her swearing though.

Ty and Angel were both late entrants so would seem a bit irrelevant anyway - but neither of them has been shown to possess any personality whatsoever. I daresay that is to an extent down to editing - but Ty was brought in as a poor woman’s Harry, and Angel … failed to attach herself to any original islander. So they’ve become pointless as contestants. I doubt a single person in the country cared about their set piece exclusivity chat yesterday.

I’m always fascinated by how people see things so differently.
I’d never think she was beautiful. Her face is too small and scrunched. But she’s not unattractive.

Emma? (Harry’s ex) was the best looking girl there this year imo.

I find myself hoping Helena will be the one who gets some long term TV benefit from being on the show. Also a proper relationship eventually. Not having had a boyfriend at thirty must be a little troubling / lonely / whatever. (Not saying a woman needs a man throughout life, of course we don’t - but she’s missed a whole chunk of developmental experience.)

I may get flames for this but I kind of got where Dejon was coming from!! And I thought Meg was being the game player. First she was saying he’d never told he liked Yas - then admitted she did remember him saying it! Then she was just going on that he should ‘back them as a couple’ and not have said Yas in that game as it made them look weak as a couple etc - whereas he was just saying he answered the question honestly. If I was her I would much prefer someone to be honest than to give tactical answers to win a game!! Surely that would just make you question everything else - like being boyfriend and girlfriend is just tactical to win a game!! Oh wait?!!!

Dejon is obviously the brains of that couple - and as someone intimated above, probably saw pairing up with Grateful Meg (because he’s a bit out of her league generally) as an easy win. But she’s so daft he’s finding it hard to keep her on message. And he’s so unpleasant she’s constantly confused and trying to fight back. If she were smart she’d just play along and wait for the prize money or SM profile takings.

I recently said I wasn't keen on Angel, but I liked watching her with Ty last night. Their relationship just seems so natural and easy, which is refreshing compared to most of the others.

I originally liked Megan but went off her but am liking the toned down version that has returned. I don't particularly think it's fair that somebody should be given a second chance after being booted, but I'd sooner them win over most of them now as they do seem to have a good thing going.

We definitely see things differently as I thought Emma's face looked a bit squished and don't think Megans does at all 🤣

I totally get why Meg and Jamie questioned who Dejon and Yaz chose. They do nothing only give out about each other. Jamie said something about Yaz spending a lot of time talking about Dejon in a negative way. They answered the question weirdly, going back weeks and choosing as if they were starting the process over. Harry answered it the best. He chose Shakirahs best friend in there because they are similar in personality and they get on. That's the only right answer. Why the fucn would you pick someone you supposedly hate, think is an absolute prick and do nothing only give out about!? It doesn't make sense!

Dejon seems quite strategic and so I’m surprised he’s so set on winning the prize money at the cost of coming across as a nice person.

I know £25 k is a lot of money but surely the long game would be to get brand deals, spon collabs, paid posts etc.

He’s shooting himself in the foot at this point as brands will have their pick of the islanders and he’s not showing himself in the most positive light.

I’m still on holiday, so not able to watch but following along here - totally agree re them being pointless plus Angel seems devoid of any sort of personality.

Usually the guys don’t benefit as much as the girls though so I imagine the money is important?

I don't think he actually thinks of himself as anything other than the lovely bloke he assumes he's portraying. He feels he's far superior to everybody in there for some reason and assumes the public must of course agree, as he is always right.

He's either vile and oblivious or vile but thinks we're all too thick to notice.

She is utterly pointless, entertainment wise.

Agree re Shakira & Harry. I'd love to see the public vote figures. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they were still getting more votes than Meg & De.
