I didn’t see any of the tennis yesterday but it does sound brutal - I really think they are going to have to reconsider the timings of some of these tournaments - it ends up being survival of the fittest instead of who is the best tennis player

I managed to get a last minute ticket to a local festival yesterday and saw Pulp! The festival is on for another two days but fortunately my ticket was only for yesterday - I don’t think I could have coped with two more days - I’m getting old! I’ve done some ironing instead

I wanted to watch the Austria final - hopefully the rain will stop soon - the whole tournament sounds as if it’s been great fun but I haven’t managed to see any of it

Fizzy I agree it's all about last man standing- and not just in who wins. It has a knock on effect with other tournaments too - which we've already seen. If ADF ends up in the final of Washington, for example- will he decide he's too knackered to go to Toronto (and lose the chance of the extra points).

Pulp sounds great! I've never fancied festivals. I like somewhere I can plug in a hair dryer. And have a shower.

I haven’t actually seen any tennis today but when I turned Sky on briefly earlier they were showing a bit of the Prague trophy celebration. It’s a nice trophy, a tennis racket with a ball on it. Much better than some I’ve seen!

I’d like to watch Emma’s match but not sure I can stay up that late. Leylah Fernandez is in the other semi final so if they both win it would be a rerun of the US Open final. I don’t think that will happen though as Elena currently seems to have the upper hand over Leylah.

I’m a bit disappointed that the men’s matches are on so late in Washington, since I don’t have Sky and can’t watch the women’s matches. It would have been a pretty bonkers coincidence if Emma got to her first final in four years and faced the same opponent she did the first time around. As you say Chessie I don’t think it will happen. It also sounds like Emma had a rough time in the heat yesterday so I wouldn’t be too confident she’s getting past Anna later.

I would like to watch the ADF match, but it's schedule for about 1am,UK time. I've no real interest in the women's matches, tbh.

Leylah has come back to win the second set so maybe she will make the final. Not so sure about Emma though given she wasn’t feeling well yesterday.
